Lol, Why do people like to take the law in their own hand? Even if they were denying him a password reset, the sane thing would have been to hire a lawyer... I mean its easier to book an appointment than looking for how to make bombs on google. But then again "We Live in a S O C I E T Y"  Grin

Might? I mean is there any doubt remaining? He sent a bomb for crying out loud mate and you still aren't sure... Lol, Dafuk! He is Definitely Unstable iyam.

Yup, might!

Have you tried making a bomb? He sure was pretty stable since he managed to wire it correctly and did not end in 1000 satoshis  Grin

Considering how many toxic personalities there are involved in crypto I'm impressed there's been so little violence reported so far.

The good thing is that most people are keyboard warriors and the max the do is tweet in anger
Probably the members on DT have received more threats with violence than the presidents of the G7 countries.

And most of the violent crimes or robberies that happened recently are not made by people involved in cryptos, more by criminals that have seen a new niche (or at least I assume it's like that).

Btw,

Salonen was allegedly attempting to take revenge on the firm for refusing to change his password on the Cryptopay platform in August 2017.
Seriously?

He probably lost a significant amount of money, so he acted with a great sense of anger. But of course, its totally insane what he has done and he has to pay for it.
No man would come into this extent if he doesnt lose up a significant amount of money but such movement of his would definitely put up into more trouble.
Emotions do burst up but we should really be always aware on our actions. One move then you will entirely mess up your life. Money can still be earned and recover on what you have lost but if you are on the
jail then it would be an another story.I do even come to some situation where i do really like to kill someone due to being lost on trading.lol

This man might be unstable as I don't know why he will send a bomb over a refusal of changing his passwords as well as sending a white powder to a politician. The two threats he made might not be connected but it just shows that he is doing the matter onto his own hands. Also I think there is a more legal approach on handling the problem with Cryptopay  and he didn't chose that route to do so, if he can't access his account because of a lost password I think it is justifiable that he needs his password to be reset in order for him to access his account. Refusing him to access it will be an illegal thing to do so.
I agree these days people can be prosecuted, incarcerated and even executed for any crime unless you have a good lawyer or enough money to pay the bail and mentally insane people can kill 10 persons or do almost anything and the justice it’s gonna be easy on them because they are sick and they need help, it’s like killing sane people for killing people is ok but killing insane people for killing people is wrong

@harlot I get what you are trying to say. Most white people get away from crimes by getting labelled as "Unstable" but then again any person trying to take the law in his own hands isn't sane either. We live in a society where there are means to tackle any situation through legal means, anybody who doesn't understand that clearly needs some catching up to do. I still find it hard to believe that people are living under rocks that they resort to violence instead of using the legal route.

I used the word "might" because we really don't know the whole story here and for legal purposes criminals who are unstable always receive a reduce penalty (some cases even makes it there get away from jail free card) because of their mental incapacity. There must be more than his lost password that might triggered him to do these kinds of action. He might even be exonerated if it is proven that he is mentally incapacitated somehow later in his sentence so definitely the prosecution needs to stay away proving that he is unstable but rather he is in his right mind doing what he committed.

Thought at first this the same guy who sent threatening letters to a mining farm like 2 months back but they arrested him already andWas in Sweden though. Not sure we'll ever hear the full story, he must have known he could reset his password on his own, maybe one of those cases where he lost his email or recovery. Guess that's why people will always want a custodian for their shit. Bitcoin wants you to be in control of your own money but if you can't take care of your passwords, you won't fare much better with private keys.

A Swedish court has sentenced a man to six and a half years in prison after he sent a "potentially lethal homemade bomb” to a U.K.-based crypto firm.

Jermu Michael Salonen, 43, faced several charges in the Stockholm District Court, including sending a bomb to Cryptopay employees in London, and mailing a white powder to Swedish politicians — including the prime minister.
