Some exchanges are full of pump and dump groups, we know that because they keep recruiting new people on this forum and by spamming all of the channels on telegram, hopefully this recent bitcoin pump is not going to be dumped

This could be easily done to those who own exchanges especially with huge market cap volume for relatively they own also large volume of crypto to trade on dumping and pumping cryptocurrency market price. For now, it is clearly understood that many whales now are participating in the dumping and pumping cryptocurrency market price.

Somehow they don't cover the fact that many of those pump and dump groups are most probably scams (a few traders that will gain the money some trader wannabes will lose based on "100%" signals) and they try to somewhat cover some rules and sanctions CFTC wants to impose. I don't find it a great article. Too many buzz words and missing parts in the story.

Pump-and-Dump Groups Become ‘Widespread’ as Market Remains Largely Unregulated

The Social Science Research Network (SSRN) recently published research studying the phenomenon of pump-and-dump groups within the crypto community. The paper — conducted by seven academics from Tel Aviv University, the University of Tulsa and the University of Mexico — concluded that “regulators should be very concerned that price manipulation via pump and dump schemes is so widespread.”
