I think your portfolio is pretty good, but if you add it you should include NEO in your portfolio because I think NEO has good potential in the long term. try to do research first.

I will remove the Stratis, Ardor and Qash, I will replace the coins with 10% ADA Cardano and 5.5% for Ontology, I think your portfolio is very good for short or short term investment, depending on your circumstances and your desire to sell or hold the coin.

Hey guys!

I've been watching this forum for about a year now and I belive it's time for my first post.
I'm in crypto since May 2017, started with about 3k$ and currently at 10k$ (could have been 20k if I wasn't such a noob ^^).

Anyways, I would like to hear your opinions on my portfolio for 2018, pros & cons, suggestions, etc.

10.000$ distributed as follows:
Bitcoin = 20%
Ethereum = 20%
Factom = 15%
Vechain = 10%
Syscoin = 10%
Stratis = 6%
Waves = 6%
Ardor = 6%
Oyster = 3,5%
QASH = 3,5%

My goal for 2018 is to make atleast a x5. Do you think it's possible? Too many coins? Any shitcoins here?

Thanks for your input!

I would invest in some major privacy coins.

DASH seems to be a good buy right now, you may want to look into DASH and diversify your portfolio into that. Furthermore, I believe that Syscoin and Factom aren't really that promising right now, and you should probably reduce the percentage that you're holding in these coins.

But all the others are pretty good, I personally wouldn't really invest in Oyster Pearl at this stage, but since it's only 3.5% of your portfolio, it doesn't really matter. 5x in a year will be extremely hard, do not expect those returns.

While this is a decent portfolio I would remove some of the more veteran coins with less potential and go with a high potential coin such as Ambrosus.

Also I'm personally not a big fan of STRAT and SYS because they've been in the market for a while and their tech will get usurped by new generation blockchain technologies like Eligma or DAG-based chains. You could honestly consolidate all three of FCT, STRAT, and SYS into AMB and get much, much higher than 5x for 2018.

Ambrosus looks very promising, remindes me of Modum at first glance, I'll look into it deeper.

Yeah FCT and SYS seem old and maybe not that "cool" anymore, I'm constantly including/removing them from my portfolio and now I've added them again.
FCT because they just released M3 and I'm waiting to see what happens next in 2018, if it doesn't move that much I'm dumping it. And SYS might get their boom moment with the release of blockmarket web which sholud be in Q2 2018, hopefully.

You have a good portfolio mate. I think you will see the max profit on all your coins by keeping it for a long time. All that coins have a potential for stability growth in future so keep hodling mate.

10.000$ distributed as follows:
Bitcoin = 20%
Ethereum = 20%
Factom = 15%
Vechain = 10%
Syscoin = 10%
Stratis = 6%
Waves = 6%
Ardor = 6%
Oyster = 3,5%
QASH = 3,5%

I think this is a really good porfolio. In my opinion, your ethereum, bitcoin, waves and stratis decisions have good potential for the future. And in addition to these, maybe you should consider about neo.

This portfolio is good because it is your convenience portfolio so I am not suggest to anything. But you should monitor day by day some coin are moving up you can continue or this will down you must exchange to Bitcoin because this coin only permanent promising platform others are little risk so you should follow my ideas you are escape from shitcoins.

Your portfolio looks good, but I would leave 20% of funds in Fiat, reducing the percentage of investment in bitcoin and ETH, and would also add NANO and NEO to this portfolio

good portfolio but i think that in that times we need more keep in usdt and btc ( like 30% usdt 30% btc and 40% other coins)  It can save you money and give chance buy cheap coins . The mostly coins - are good and very perspective. Also i think you need pay attention on NEO, EOS and XEM. This coins are giants and show more stability growth. They are strong if market fall. But all in your hands.

I agree about the cash part, during this huge correction I realised my biggest mistake is the lack of $$$ on the side for re-investment (I usually just buy more coins with my profits).
NEM and NEO are great, I was in NEO shortly (bought at 30, sold at 120)...but I think I have too many platforms atm (might get rid of ardor/waves and add NEO again)
Haven't researched EOS that much...

Your portfolio look very promising but for me you should invest more in ethereum and bitcoin. These coins have big potential and better option is use 50% of your budget for these
