It is they that governments recognize as legal means of payment and if we want to change that, we have to convince governments to accept cryptos as a means of payments, but do not get into fights like: "cryptos VS credit cards" because it will only make things worse

Convincing the outside world that Bitcoin is a great means of payments is done by using it as such, not by speculating like a bunch of empty headed baboons. Most people say they want to see Bitcoin replace fiat, but they don't actually mean it, they just echo the general sentiment within this ecosystem to be cool and hope that their bags will pump.

Fiat isn't all that bad as day to day currency as long as you avoid debt. Money should be spent without thinking about unit values, and that's one heck of an aspect crypto in its entirety needs to catch up on. As long as fiat has that advantage over Bitcoin, I will continue using fiat more as a day to day currency. Bitcoin is more a currency of the internet in that regard, and that's fine too.

Payment Gateway Allows Recurring Payments
When the network is being attacked with spams, it will lead for transactions to be clogged and going to create a slow confirmations which results to increase the fees to put the highest into priority. But since we've got lightning network already, it will lessen those slow confirmations. I can't give any experience within the usage of credit cards since I'm really off getting one though people near me encourages me to take one and use it wisely.

We have to look at the facts that are ahead of us. Do you use cryptos for everything you do in real life? I believe you do not use crypto for everything you do in real life. So what do you use in real life? You use Fiat and these credit and debit cards. It is they that governments recognize as legal means of payment and if we want to change that, we have to convince governments to accept cryptos as a means of payments, but do not get into fights like: "cryptos VS credit cards" because it will only make things worse

Although I think it's important to explain the advantages of using crypto to regular people, it seems it should be done in a different way than Coinidol did.

Good news for us, most people don't know about this site while Coindesk and the gang is not that good either. People should start learning about crypto from source like Mastering Bitcoin, not some articles written by somebody who doesn't know what they're talking about.

Obviously, this is the current state of crypto journalism, its really sad because I'm sure lot of crypto enthusiast read them from noobs to a more experience investors or traders. The sad part is that noobs have the tendency to believed every news right away without reading between the lines. @Betwrong, has debunked most of it, so this is much a pretty shitty article (again).

I reckon the journalists in coinidol.com know less about everything about cryptocoins than the forum cave trolls in bitcointalk.

Taking the first statement as an example from the article.

The latest credit card fee increases have generated debate over the comparative advantages of using cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ripple, Ethereum and others.

If they are worried about a price decrease then they can convert it quickly either into fiat or stable coins. If they can afford it then keeping bitcoin is a lot more lucrative

I stand with Ukraine.
Cryptos Don’t Charge High Processing Fees

Remember December 2017? It's hard to convince regular people that it won't happen again.

Cards are Inherently Vulnerable to Theft and Compromise

They are, but most people think(and in a way rightly so) that cryptos are much more vulnarable to that.

Crypto Can’t be Blocked or Easily Confiscated

Depending on where your crypto is, it can be blocked or confiscated in some cases, on an exchange, for instance.

Some big firms like Overstock, see savings from processing digital currency payments, but this doesn’t sway and convince every user in the cryptocurrency industry, at this particular stage, cards still aren’t an enhanced and healthier alternative for users.

Here are some of the reasons as to why credit cards are a mediocre payments technology currently, just a decade when the technology for digital currency payments turn out to be very sophisticated: https://coinidol.com/major-advantages-cryptocurrency/
