The 'good' thing about being a main man project is that it's way easier to implement changes to the protocol.

Ethereum's ecosystem is also way friendlier than Bitcoin's ecosystem with how the geeky developers there absolutely adore this dude. If Vitalik wants something to happen, then it happens. Ethereum's only problem is that their upgrades tend to be quite buggy, which causes severe delays up to a year or more.

Vitalik last year even said that he will write a hard fork in case he is forced to do so. Says enough.  Roll Eyes

I agree, but it's different story if the "main" man is evil, scammer or have bad hidden agenda.

I'd bet he's only tired being center of attention.

If he really think that, he should've done something to prevent himself become "leader"/"center" of ETH such as quit from ETH's community/development just like what Satoshi did.

I kind of agree with Vitalik Buterin on this, because the biggest flaw in Alt coins these days are the individuals that are centered around these technologies. An individual can be targeted by it's enemies and this is why people should follow Satoshi's example and just stay anonymous during the development of these Alt coins.

Vitalik Buterin has been approached by Putin and we know how corrupt some of these world leaders can be and how intimidating their actions can be on individuals, if they are linked to these coins.   Angry

EXCLUSIVE: BLOCKCHAIN DICTATOR SAYS 'NO' TO INDIVIDUALISM

Every dictator ever think that they are benevolent and do it for the good of the people.

But this interview shows just how dangerous his views are in context of blockchain and cryptocurrency, he took the technology that was made to achieve freedom, and tries to turn it into the opposite - a tool for masses (or Vitalik himself) to push their will, even if it takes freedom from individuals. This has already happened when he forked after the DAO hack, and it will only get worse in the future.

Lol. Vitalik is asking for people to stop 'praying' to him. That's good but kinda ironic Cheesy
But this individualism issue is clear, though maybe not inherently evil because some projects is definitely a start-up which needs a lot of trust and patience to the work of its founder.

Vitalik Buterin says that crypto enthusiasts should lessen the spreading of individualism when referring to the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry.
