Russia’s version of Facebook, VKontakte (VK), is considering making its own cryptocurrency.

it was not the social network that said it, just because a source familiar with the company's plans to RNS said, does not mean that this is true. So why are they posting rumors? another point that I think this news is a bit strange has to do with the fact that if they create a crypto then they would have to face the Russian government that every month has a different stance on crypto and I do not see this movement to create a crypto like a good move
When we do mention or do talk about Russias jurisdictions towards crypto then i'd most likely say that they are mostly on negative or nearly neutral and
its really odd to look or see that VK do have that kind of plan to have that crypto like coin but actually im not seeing these as crypto yet these are just usual
centralized coins made by them.

Private crypto made by a social network owned by Russian government? What a joke, April 1st was 2 days ago, this is just as ridiculous as private crypto made by Facebook or Google.

Well, I think it's even more ridiculous. Like a hybrid between Petro and Facebook crypto, straight from Moscow's laboratories.

Yup. And as with Facecoin or whatever nonsense they are calling it, I doubt it will even be a cryptocurrency at all. I'm sure they will call it one, solely as a means of advertising, but these companies who make their money from controlling your data have no interest in giving away any amount of control to decentralization. It will be a payment processor, which will either not be based on blockchain at all, or will be on a private blockchain completely under the control of the company's senior administration.

Just yet another shitcoin to add to the every growing pile.

Also, it's funny how the price jumped by 25% in a day, and suddenly so many "bullish" news have started popping out, really feels like a manipulation, especially if you dig deeper and realize that many of those news are just fakes.
Nothing new! These news do really pops out after a sudden price increase of crypto market specially with Bitcoin. It do really sounds manipulation but cant conclude if it is part or not.
This VK coin will no different on FB coin too, so i dont really care at all if they would make their own private coin yet it has nothing to do with adoption of Crypto.
