It is similar to what happened when the Internet appeared for the first time, everyone thought it was the solution to all the problems of the world.
Even with the development of technology, Scammers will develop their methods of scam so the best way is to educate people on how to protect their information rather than rely on some central programs.

And people still wonder why blockchain and ICO ecosystem have a reputation of being mostly a scam, and then they try to tell that it's all a government conspiracy to takeover the movement.
My prediction is that in 5 years everyone will forget about blockchain, and only once in a while some scammers will try to defraud investors with promises that it comes back. And blockchain will again become just a part of cryptocurrency protocols, a programming pattern, cryptographic construct - anything but "an amazing technology that will change the world".

Another article from Coin Idol which is all waffle and no specifics.

How exactly will blockchain protect people from malware? This is just like the newbies across this forum who say "blockchain" like it's some kind of magic word which will solve all the world's problems. Blockchain can streamline industry! Blockchain can improve healthcare! Blockchain can solve world hunger! Blockchain can cure diseases! How?

You can't just invoke the word Blockchain and call that a solution. Come on.

Cybersecurity will always be weak because people are weak and lazy. All they have to do is back their stuff up and be vaguely sensible with 2FA and so on but most won't.

The best thing 'blockchain' can do for their security is to use it to store dick or minge pics of them and threaten to show it to their friends unless they take security more seriously. A neat little twist indeed.
