I thought only Coinidol that create click-bait & misleading article like this, seems like Coindesk falls to the same category now.

We always had quick transactions. All I need is to pull out my mobile phone and open an app. Smart watches at most make the process of generating a QR code a second or two faster, that's it.

Correct. I don't see anything that could be celebrated here as the user is really limited and it's very experimental. Such services would be really good if there are enough users who would use LN instead of regular instant payment via virtual bank account.

Nice clickbait title, the one who launch LN wallet on apple watch is Bluewallet.

Regardless, it could beat credit card and mobile payment (such as Apple Pay & Google Wallet) in terms of convenience which is important if we're talking about Bitcoin adaption.
Same here! I clicked due to curiosity believing that apple did really consider to add up LN wallet on their apple watch but the truth BW created a LN wallet app for the watch.
Still a good thing that we are seeing progress or adoption with these LN payments and also that NEO add up thing which been said by veleten then it would be no surprise
that this will create some domino effect into further possible big companies.

Samsung set a pace by introducing cryptos featured smart phones here again apple launching it own bluewallet that is LN featured
Apple isn't launching anything here. It's purely BW that designed an app for the Apple smart watch ecosystem.

this is indeed remarkable and a welcome development geared towards having a swift and quick transactions which had been an hindrance or impediment  in few years ago as far transaction of bitcoin and other cryptos is concerned.
We always had quick transactions. All I need is to pull out my mobile phone and open an app. Smart watches at most make the process of generating a QR code a second or two faster, that's it. As far as I can see, BW doesn't ask you for a PIN before you open an app, which adds more problems than it solves in my opinion.

By the time they do add a PIN, it will be inconvenient to type in the numbers on such a small screen, therefore you lose the few second speed advantage you had previously.

this is even more interesting taking into account that Apple pay and Samsung pay now support NEO token:

having partnered with the London based Zeux before : https://twitter.com/NEO_Blockchain/status/1122789168340447232
could it be that the giants are actively probing the crypto grounds and it is a start of something bigger?

I have been a Blue Wallet user for over a month now, and I can say that it's by far the best custodial wallet client out there for LN. I have been tipping people through Tippin like crazy and bought gift cards through Bitrefill.

I also fed some chickens, but the thing here is that so many people are feeding them, that the chickens barely have any interest left to run to the food dispenser the moment it start raining seeds and whatnot.  Cheesy

If future LN wallets get as user friendly as this one, I'm sure that even the most basic folks won't struggle moving satoshis back and forth. Simplicity is all we need and this is as close as it can get where we are right now.

The app was first  introduced last week by Bluewallet , one of the most popular lightning network wallets ,but today it is officially available to download from the Itunes store.
Transactors can use the smartwatch app to generate a QR code — a square-shaped barcode — that someone else can then scan with their smartphone to send over a payment.
You will be able to receive bitcoin  lightning payments with a few taps of an Apple smartwatch.

Nuno Coelho , Product and  UX engineer , positioned  the application as an experiment: smartwatches are not as popular as smartphones and  since the  lightning technology itself is still very experimental, they’re not sure how many users will actually want to use the app.
