True, but the cost of him bringing forth multiple frivolous lawsuits is pushed on to both taxpayers paying for the court time and all the people he accuses being forced to defend themselves against his lies.

is it really Craig Wright doing the suing? for shame

I feel like taking an even more contrarian stance; I hope Craig wins.

It could be an important (cultural, not legal) precedent: there has to reach a point where technology becomes so sophisticated that the justice system simply cannot make accurate/meaningful judgements in cases involving such technology. I'm sure there's plenty of judgements (and perhaps even case law) that have already demonstrated as such, and that Wright's case is simply another nail in the coffin of the legal system's credibility

this drama will end on the day that these guys who have a lot of money and who think that they are super genius come out of the crypto world and power has always been the greatest of evils. people that like power and fame they always look for some breach to appear in the news channels. In the case of faketoshi I believe that he is a person who likes to be the center of attention and in the crypto world he is seen as a joke

The most interesting thing that can come out of this is the fact that he cannot hide any Bitcoin addresses that he might claim that he had. If after he provided this information and it comes to light that he wants to claim that he had other "older" addresses ….then he can be held for being in contempt of court.  Wink

So the list that he will be providing, would expose him as not being Satoshi Nakamoto.   ::

They should order him in advance to sign these addresses as proof of ownership.  Wink

It's quite possible that was him shopping for old wallets on here and on Reddit a few weeks back.

I hope the court knows enough to want private keys as well. It would be a bit galling if he handed over some whale's address and they said 'fantastic'.
You're with what you said because Craig Wright seems to have degree in terms of lying and making false claim cause he did some acouple of years back when he said he's the creator of the first online gambling site code but if the court request for the private key to the wallet he's going provide then I might change my mind about who I think he was.

There's also a cost to the community having to read about his constant stupidity every day, and the poor image he projects to the non-crypto community.

The sooner he faces some serious ramifications for his behavior, the better.

I think the chances that he actually complies accurately with the court order are essentially zero.  Sure he'll produce some addresses no doubt, but the odds of him coming clean with the court are extremely low.  He seems to think that he is above the law or invincible or something.

Lies after lies, I don't know but I hope one day he can finally go to jail for what he had done and the mess he leaves on crypto.

Lies are bad, but not nearly as bad as what Roger Ver has been doing, which is actually scamming people.

I like the fact that Roger Ver with his silly BCash has someone of the same caliber to worry about now. BSV is a big fuck you in the face of Roger and Jihan. The scammer Roger Ver is now experiencing what he has been subjecting innocent people to for years now. It also deems BCash kinda useless because their on-chain scaling isn't anything special anymore.

Yesterday there was an article where one single BCash address was responsible of 50% of BCash's daily transaction count. They are also sending large amounts of BCash from address to address to crank up the on-chain value transfers. So silly. This is behavior you see from losers who know they ran out of other (non artificial) ways to get people to fill up their blocks.

I would love it if he did that, and the court slapped him with a massive tax bill. And then, since it would be impossible for him to prove he doesn't own those addresses, he would be forced to pay. We can but dream.

I hope one day he can finally go to jail for what he had done and the mess he leaves on crypto.

Why on earth would we wish that to happen to Craig Wright?

In the case of him being forced to pay money he cannot pay (because he's bizarrely delusional), the cost of discovering that (in further court sessions) is going to be pushed onto people who are not Craig Wright

In the case of him being sent to prison, the cost of doing that will also be pushed onto people who are not Craig Wright

Keeping people in custody and funding court cases that recover no money are very expensive, the best punishment for Wright is the best punishment for almost everyone: the real world consequences of people knowing exactly what you're capable of.

simply being Craig Wright for the rest of his life is punishment enough, and he has to pay for that, not anybody else

People would really like to head bang these two person (CW and McAfee). In all the news related to them i do already ignore or simply im numb on what would i gonna read or some news about them.

The difference with Mr. Mcafee is that he knows he's inherently ridiculous and shameless and plays it up. He's the absolute opposite of Craigy in that respect. Perhaps it's all performance art. We'll find out at some point.

We know he isn't Satoshi but I think he has the same drug dealer with J Macfee. It's funny because on any occasion when you ask him for this or that evidence, he always has an excuse to say. How that comes he can't provide any BTC address used. Since when there is no accounting done in a company. Never seen before, there's really someone who should make a movie about this guy, or a Netflix series

He would try to sue them in a heartbeat.

These two guys just harm their popularity with these actions.
Anyone with any sense stopped listening to Ver and CSW a long time ago. The majority of people who do still listen to them are biased because they are holding large bags of one or both of their trash altcoins.

these conflicts show that we are not united in our attempts to bring the mass adoption to the society.
Ver and CSW don't care about being united, mass adoption, or anything of the sort. They care about profits, and are quite happy to scam newbies to achieve said profits.

When will all these drama ends with the self-proclaimed Bitcoin Creator. Just a few days ago, the same Craig sued the CEO of bitcoin.com Roger Ver and now in the latest stage of an on-going legal battle over his alleged theft of cryptocurrency assets from the company he co-owned with the late computer forensic expert David Kleiman, the US District Court of the Southern District of Florida has ordered him to present a list of his public Bitcoin addresses by May 8. And apart from their popularity I think that they don't bring any benefit to the crypto community as these conflicts show that we are not united in our attempts to bring the mass adoption to the society.

This is one of the advantages of having a public ledger. Anyone can check if he, in fact, was the owner of one of the addresses. But unfortunately, there are several possibilities of him still cheating the court. Billions are in play and he could get some address or way to demonstrate ownership of an address that has moved millions of BTCs to some single address.

The only way for anyone to be able to prove that he's satoshi is either by moving coins from a very old address or sign a message, which I doubt is possible right now. Regardless of what is the result of this court order or whatever, I still don't believe he is satoshi.

We do believed that he is not Satoshi, no argument there. Maybe the question is the court has the "technical expertise" to identify those addresses? We know that Craig has practiced faking emails, documents so there is a chance that he can just randomly pick addresses here. Lies after lies, I don't know but I hope one day he can finally go to jail for what he had done and the mess he leaves on crypto.

the court order states:  “On or before May 15, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, Dr. Wright shall produce all transactional records of the blind trust, including but not limited to any records reflecting the transfer of bitcoin into the blind trust in or about 2011. The production shall be accompanied by a sworn declaration of authenticity.”

they want him to reveal the addresses that were involved in the blind trust fund coin movement in 2011
so it should be pretty easy to identify if he just presents some random whale's addresses or not

When we stop talking about him. He's a proven fraudster, scammer, and liar. Why do we keep starting new topics about him?

When he finally gets his comeuppance? I'm fascinated with people as self deluded as that. I've come across a few and genuinely don't understand how they can talk themselves into the positions they wind up in. Where does the self awareness go?

At some point all of the bluster will come to a head and it'll be wonderful to witness. Then he'll be yet another forgotten footnote.
