i wouldnt trust my money to facebook since they had a history of massive security breach. This would be another centralized coin where its not open-sourced just like ripple.

Can you explain further why this could be good news for crypto community? Those people behind are very intelligent and doesn't have that "if you can't beat them, join them" attitude. Their coins has some purpose, either to take a slice of the pie, or be a competitor of some major centralizes coins right now. It will not be another bitcoin, but another token for Facebook purpose only.

Whenever i come across post and news on the progress of the Facebook readiness to join the crypto world, it gives this full assurance, hope and trust in cryptocurrency and that the future for crypto is bright, irrespective of contrary opinions.

I hear facebook will coming into crypto in 2020. That really big news because we all know how popular facebook. Public really love use facebook. That mean its like they will promote crypto to facebook user. Even they will launch their own coin but that doesnt mean facebook user only know facebook coin, of course they will know about cryptocurrency also.
