Christmas is suppose to be fan, I mean watching games with the star players in different teams is fun to watch as we can see a competition at a full level, but looks like we are not gonna see it this Christmas.

It's ok regardless of who will play or not because of safety and health protocols. Those who won't be able to play on Christmas day doesn't mean their respective team will not be on their full level. Lots of big matches on Christmas day games we sure don't want to miss.

Nets vs Lakers
Warriors vs Suns

Can't wait to watch these games.

I think Warriors vs Suns is better to watch as this team is already tied 1-1 this season so far. They won a game in their respective home court but the last time the Suns lose, they were playing without Booker. Tomorrow they'll be in their home court again so I think Suns will get this, they are now -5, but not sure they'll cover that spread as Warriors are really doing well.

That's what I think too.
Suns and Warriors are the most interesting teams to watch this year in the Western Conference. The Eastern Conference too has a very interesting teams too. The Bucks and Nets still the front runners for the NBA finals, but the Chicago Bulls are also showing the potential to be in that category too.
Wohooo the NBA is getting unpredictable and exciting as the season goes on.

That wasn’t just a loss. The Lakers got their ass kicked. That was ugly. Strange too because Westbrook and James had good games and Howard got some minutes. The 3 just wasn’t falling for them. They shot below 20% and after a while the game just got away from them. This will probably be their worst loss of the year. Doesn’t give much hope for their Christmas Day game.
6 players from Spurs got double digits and the points are distributed towards the players while the Lakers' offense are only coming from either Lebron or Westbrook.
One thing more is the 3pt shots made by both teams. Lakers only had 5/27 while Spurs had 18/39.

Many Laker fans are angry right now with how they played against the Spurs and I might agree that this is one of their worst losses this year aside from their loss against the Thunder where they had a huge lead but got blown at the final quarter. I think we've said all the words we need to say against them already and there is nothing we can say about them. We overrated them because of their roster but our expectations are too high for them.

The Hawks upsets the 76ers.  Shocked What the hell!! That's +10.5 spread for the Hawks because they are undermanned without Trae, Capella, and a lot more players that are listed in the health and safety protocol. Whoever took the bet for the money line of the Hawks here will have a happy Christmas.  Cheesy

From what I remember, the odds were over 3 for the Atlanta Hawks. What a big upset and bettors who take risks are enjoying their profits. Recently, I noticed that it's hard to trust the odds on Moneyline. Teams on the bottom are upsetting the favorites. Even betting on totals is not the thing you can rely on now.

Much better to bet on handicaps for at least a better chance for profits. What's your experience recently guys?

Lost of unexpected wins when covid-19 strike within, some players are out due to health protocol as the chemistry might mess up, with that said, I feel that betting on the underdog makes us profitable, no brainer, just follow the strategy and enjoy the profit.

Miami Heat got a good win against Detroit Pistons, considering Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo were absent. Max Strus played a whopping 40 minutes with 26 point. And Tyler Herro had a solid 29 points in 34 minutes. And Omer Yurtseven led the game in rebounds with 12, in 24 minutes. Pistons also missed some of its players for this game but it was a high scoring one that it was decided in the last minute. And also at the last position, Udonis Haslem got the rebound and secured the win. I cannot believe he still plays at the age of 41, was born in 1980. Quite astonishing.
With the covid19 infections spreading in the NBA, it's hard to guess who are gonna play or not, but at least we are still seeing the strong teams winning and at the same time we see that some players were given an opportunity to get more minutes and they can show their talent.

So what's the point? I think they should allow Irving to play even not vaccinated.
They will allow him outside Brooklyn. His debut will be in January.
I think that's good news, but is there any state aside from Brooklyn that has the same restriction? If only New York has that kind of restriction, then maybe Irving would still be helpful for the team to win more games, however, during the playoffs, he would miss a lot of home games.

It's definately falling apart.  I'm not a fan of the bubble, I got disinterested in basketball without fans.  It seems like practice without anyone in the stands.  Not that there is a perfect answer but I say they roll with the season as is and just manage.  The league will get watered down but it's way better than trying to watch bubble ball.
Me too, I lost interest in watching full games when there is no legitimate cheers inside the basketball floor. The energy is low and I'd rather watch the full highlight of the game than a silent game with just shoes screeching all over the place. And the outcome becomes different because of the less impact built by watching fans.

In the end, vaccines are not effective at all, and Irving has a point not getting himself vaccinated as the virus can still spread even if a person already gets vaccinated. I think as long as the body can endure the effect of the virus, a person is safe enough and just have to undergo the safety protocol in order not to infect people around him.
It's working but it's not 100 percent to be effective. The number of people infected is lessen but it's still there. Even if we all know they can endure it because of their physical strength, the problem is if they scatter it with other players and then to someone outside the league. That's why they are trying to control it.
So what's the point? I think they should allow Irving to play even not vaccinated.

Actually, I also don't see any improvements of IT this season ans yeah his presence is also not felt next to Rondo, infact in their last game vs The Suns, IT only scored 3 points in his 26 minutes in the game while Rondo scored zero in his 23 minutes time. Lakers is indeed struggling now especially without Anthony Davis, though they're consisted of star players, their chemistry isn't just good enough.
Now they're placed 6th in the Western Conference, it looks like Nuggets or Mavericks will be able to fill their spot soon.

Of course, Isaiah Thomas had a terrible performance against the Suns, but he played well in the first two games. By the way, his 10-day contract will end on December 27, and it means that he still has two more games to prove himself on the court. I wonder if the Lakers will decide to re-sign him or not.
Lakers has lost again today against San Antonio Spurs with a huge 28-score difference (LAL 110-138 SAS) by the way it's their 4th consecutive loss just this week with ofcourse IT on the court. He only scored 2-points in 21 minutes play, so I think Lakers won't renew his contract as he is not that well suitable in the Lakers.
Their next opponent is against Brooklyn Nets, the only game left for IT to prove his presence before his 10-day contract expires but I think we already knew what would be the result of this game tho.

Outscored in all quarters. Not a good sign for this team the chance of having an early exit is very possible.

With AD's condition and with how the entire team played, LeBron can't carry them if there's
no adjustment or we can say a shuffle that will blend the team up.

Fans are not satisfied for sure, not saying that Spurs is not a caliber team this season but
compared to most from the West side, the team is just an average.

Beating with above 28points, there's no need for a word to explain Lakers status for now. Roll Eyes

Denver Nuggets are on the verge of throwing away a 19 points lead to Charlotte Hornets, having led by as many as 19 we few seconds to play in the 3rd, then went into the 4th with 17 point lead, now trailing by 8 points with some seconds to go, this have to be their biggest choke so far this season, wth ?! 29 points and 21 rebounds for the reigning MVP goes to waste, but I can't say the Hornets don't deserve the win!
Difficult to digest what happened here. Their coach is probably wondering up to this moment how his team went cold in the last quarter Grin It's not like Jokic didn't have any help but he was like fighting two or three guys with hot hands at the later part of the game.

Meanwhile, the young Spurs are close to handing the Lakers their fourth straight loss in a week. They are just pulling away in the fourth quarter much like what Hornets did to the Nuggets.

edit: 4th straight loss confirmed.

Since when  Ime Udoka has become their head coach?
It was July 2021 if I remember correctly when he was announced to be the new head coach of the Celtics. Brad Stevens on the other hand was already set to be the President even before the last season was about to start.

Westbrook isn't past his prime but he isn't an mvp type player.  He puts up stats up but I wouldn't ever consider him the best player in the league.  He isn't even a top 2 player on his own team let alone the league.  Not knocking the dude it just is what it is.

Completely agree.

His only MVP season came with putting up empty stats on a bad team, which is hardly MVP-worthy in my opinion.

It's certainly an ill-constructed roster that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Hopefully AD comes back healthy though and they make some noise in the playoffs at least.

Poor decision made him sink to the bottom even though he has some good stats compared to others. It's just the players in this era are all mostly good and competitive to rise to the top. In his current playing style and record, he will never rise to the top but he is more likely to be known as one of the good players in his era no doubt about it. Unlike Dirk Nowitski who single handled bring his team to the NBA championship, Westbrook needs some hands to continue to stay on top 8.

I've heard some interesting thing about Kyrie Irving if it is true of course. Firstly, we know that he is still so stubborn about not being vaccinated. Because of his current attitude, he can't play in any of the games in this season of NBA. However, I've heard that he wanted to play in some of the games but didn't want to play in the rest of the games. And Nets didn't accept a request like this of course and decided to leave him out of the lineup. This is a so funny request by Irving.   Cheesy
Does he think that he is the authority in the NBA? That he can just make a request whatever he wants to.
We know that he is an elite point guard and an all-star player but having this kind of attitude? This will destroy his career TBH. His ego is at its highest that he is requesting things like this. Its good to see that the Nets didn't accept his request.

His reason is;
Quote
Brooklyn Nets star point guard Kyrie Irving broke his silence Wednesday evening, confirming for the first time that he is unvaccinated against Covid-19 and arguing that “nobody should be forced to do anything with their bodies” while asserting he still hopes to return and play for the Nets at some point.

source https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2021/10/14/kyrie-irving-confirms-hes-unvaccinated-and-explains-why-he-has-refused-the-shot/?sh=22a76ac7f9c8

He does not give the full details but that is more than enough for us to know that it's his own discretion and he doesn't want to be force to get vaccinated, and it seems like he really stand for his word as he is willing to sacrific millions of dollars coming from his pay this season.
Well, being vaccinated isn't mandatory "as of now" and I don't think that it will be mandatory in the US as they have this "we have freedom, we can do whatever we want" mentality.
If he doesn't want to then so be it. The Nets are the top though without him and if it continues to be like this, there is a high chance that they will trade this egoistic player.
