Thanks to their great performance in the last two quarters, Phoenix Suns got a very important win against LA Lakers last night by 108-90. It is a really huge victory when we consider that Lebron James and Westbrook were in this game also. Davis couldn't play at Lakers due to knee injury. I think that Lebron and Westbrook still played really great. Lebron got 34 points and 7 rebounds. And Westbrook made a double-double by 22 points and 12 rebounds. Even if Westbrook scored a near amount to Lebron's, Suns would have still won this. They felt the absence of Davis.

That's after two years. The last time I saw him was the year 2019 and no one took him in. So this is their solution for the increase of health and protocol admitted players. 10-day contracts for players in the G-league just so the games won't be postponed and they can still manage to end the season in time.
It looks like we are going to see different names in different teams. LA Lakers also have 4 players who entered the protocol, 7 for Cleveland Cavaliers, and more. This is not looking good for the league.

Actually what is happening right now in the NBA with the current health protocol gives the other free agents some opportunity to showcase their skills back in the NBA court which is actually good for them because not only their back with a little time in their contract but the scouts are also looking forward to inserting them in their teams where they lacked role players like them. As you can see, the Bulls have also signed Ersan İlyasova to strengthen their reboundings.

I also like how the team gives those old stars a chance to play inside NBA,

Thye can showcase what is left and let the fans to decide if they still have the space inside this league. Personally, I love
Thomas, I watch highlight clips outside NBA and you will see good looks in his game.

Maybe this 10-day contract will be extended, or other team will sign him up in case Lakers will not give another shot
for him.

@tygeade, Coach Pop is a great coach, he can change from a slow pace to fast pace, this is a new San Antonio Spurs, different from what we saw before during Duncan, Parker, and Manu. Coach Pop change the pace because he does not have an all-star players anymore and as what we are seeing now, they are quite successful although they are not in the top, I mean, we are not expecting too much from this roster but they are at least winning some games.

And he has a young roster too, that's why he has to change the way this guys play. He can't used the slow pace anymore as their roster wanted to run and they are very successful in doing it I must say.

Although they are still not yet in the playoff contentions, but still a big improvement this year. And maybe in the next 2-3 years, this team will blossom into a contender.

They might but I'm not sure if Coach Pop can still work for 2-3 years from now. He is a great coach but he is not getting any younger, in fact, he should be retiring at his age now because he is already 72 years old, he should be enjoying life outside basketball.

Lance Stephenson just got a 10-day contract with the Atlanta Hawks. Great to see his crazy ass getting another shot in the NBA. He is getting older but still extremely talented. It’s a shame his strange on court behavior limited his ceiling in the sport. His blowing in LeBron James’ ear clip will surely be a moment remembered for a long time.
Yeah, I also remembered that moment he's blowing LeBron's ear on the back Grin
And when I read the news on hoopshype ealier today that Lance Stephenson is returning to NBA with the Hawks, I was so excited that I immediately looked at the schedule of when they're going to face the Lakers. Sadly, the schedule of their face-off is on 8th of January and Stephenson isn't going to make it that day because he just got a 10-day contract.

It looks like the most remarkable game of the night is going to be Los Angeles Lakers - Phoenix Suns. There is a slight chance for Lebron James not to play in this game as his condition is going to be certain right before the game. He is the most crucial player of Lakers so his absence would affect them really badly. Lakers lost the half of their games played so far. And Suns are the conference leader by only 5 losses in 29 games. Suns defeated Lakers in their last three head-to-head games. We will see if Lakers will put an end to this streak.

I haven't seen any news regarding Lebron's status, and I think he will probably play against the Suns. However, it doesn't matter because the Lakers have some other problems. As you may know, Davis was injured recently, and many bench players can't play due to health and safety protocols. So I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns easily beat the Lakers in the upcoming game.

Yeah, that become one of the best meme as well as the internet exploded that time during his ear blowing on Lebron during their playoff games.

As far as I can remember he played in China and become MVP there? (I might be wrong though).

He still has one crazy handles:

For sure, he will be remembered not only because of this but how he is playing in the court.

He is more than an entertainer than a player because of his unnecessary movements while playing but its kinda funny at some ways TBH. Aside from this blowing of ear, his crossover against Jeff Green is one that I can't forget too even though its obvious that he stepped on his foot Cheesy. I don't know but I just love the reaction of the audience and players when that happen Cheesy.

One of the less talked about teams is making some serious statement in the East. What do you think of the Cavs resurgence? They also looked like a bunch of players put together that just worked. Their "quiet" rise reminds me of teams that do well in the regular season but would be trashed in the playoffs.

I'm surprised too on what they are achieving but not putting my hopes for them. In NBA season, everything is possible to happen but in playoffs, that's where the serious competition happened. Cavaliers will surely make it to the playoffs but not seeing them in Semis or Conference Finals.

But since no one knows what will happen, that's only my speculation. Let's see once the season ended and the playoffs began.
Looks like we're in agreement about how deep they can go into the playoffs.

It would remain a good story for the NBA if they can reach the last eight while upsetting some bigger teams.

San Antonio Spurs DESTROYED clippers. This is what I want to see from my team, playing a very fast paced game on both defense and in transition, we are a young team which means that as long as we get to gamble on defense and just move around, we are going to close out anyone we face, par from warriors maybe, and since we are young then we can run in transition and that is what we did amazingly this game as well because when defense is not set then they can't stop us as easily, our offense at half court is not great so transition is where we make our bread. Hopefully we will get a lot more results like this, it will definitely help the confidence of the young stars.
Fast pace is probably not coach Pop's favorite style and brand of basketball but he has to take advantage or utilize the strength of his squad.

Chicago Bulls got another win by defeating the team at the last place in the Western Conference, Houston Rockets. Since Harden left the team, Rockets have been falling apart and we see this clearly in their performances. They won only 10 times in 31 games so far. And they lost this game by 133-118 also. Bulls continue chasing the leader team which are Brooklyn Nets now. They revolutionized their roster and they have its benefits this season a lot.
As usual, DeRozan had another great game with 26 points, I think he will never fall below with the 20+ points per game and he is having a great season with the team that clearly fits for him, I'm sure everyone can see that. No Lavine, no problem for the Bulls, they still win easily.
I am actually kind of surprised that they are winning with great performances without Lavine. As it is mentioned, DeRozan is stepping up big time and doing a great job. Even though Houston Rockets started quite shaky to the season with young players and kind of a brand new roster, they had just started to win some games, but they were no match with the Bulls team in Chicago. Nevertheless, I am paying attention to Rockets' rookie Alperen Sengun and it seems like he has great potential. Already playing not bad for a 19 years old rookie.

Chicago Bulls have improved their team play so much that they still manage to win their games without one of their important players. Maybe Rockets weren't a very tough opponent for them as they are the worst now but still every team can beat each other in NBA anytime. Bulls' regular season performance has been really great so far. And I wonder whether they will be able to keep this up in the playoffs too.

They are built to be solid in the playoffs too.  I would say teams that are too reliant on one thing like 3s can crash and burn easy in the playoffs but guys lime derozen and lavine are built for the playoffs since they can create their own shots and not rely on spot shooting.  Don't know the odds but throwing some loot down on the Bulls to win the Eastern Conference isn't too bad of a bet right now.

Because the half of the Brooklyn Nets' roster is absent, the Brooklyn Nets - Washington Wizards game has been postponed. If it was decided to be played, Wizards would have destroyed Nets probably. Wizards were on a very bad run until defeating Utah Jazz away. This could have been an opportunity for them to maintain a winning streak. Nets are dealing with injuries and illnesses at the same time. This is really worrying and I hope their players can recover in a short time.

In fact, DeRozan has been impressive in his role as forward in their last two games with Rockets and Lakers and scored not below 25 points. In their last match against Lakers, he alone scored 38 points in his 34 minutes in the court. LaVine isn't expected to play not until past Christmas due to Covid-19 Protocol, and seems that the Bulls aren't affected without him.

So, do you guys think that the bulls has a good chance for the NBA finals this year or even win the Championship?
Because I personally think they can. I mean they have developed a good team chemistry and each of the pieces of their roster perfectly compliments the other.
DeRozan had been constantly improving. He might not have win it when he's still with the Raptors (but he actually did great while he's there), maybe this could be the time he'll going to win a ring. Not necessarily this coming playoffs, but maybe after 2-3 years with this current line up.
