Theoretically yes, but remember that LBJ&AD can shoot 70-80 pts combine. Even against Clippers defense. They can also count on the range shooters like Danny Green, KCP or Avery Bradley if they have a their day. Personally, I think that both teams are very even, and the disposition of the day will decide about the victory. Or maybe the genius of someone from the four: LBJ, AD, PG, KL.
I think the addition with Noah for a 10-day contract will boost more on their defense especially on the paint where mostly AD and LBJ get their points. It will not be a 10-day contract if Noah will really make a big difference from it and besides Clippers will surely depend on him and not ask for more with former DPOY and All Star.

I think I agree with you that they are even, the other one was more of offensive team and the other one focuses on the defensive. You can see some stats here: https://www.oddsshark.com/nba/offensive-stats

On offense we can see that LAC was at top 4 while on the defensive aspect the LAL was on top 3.

Yes, Lakers defense is also very strong. They have many good individual defenders and three great shoot blockers - AD, McGee and Howard. But in my opinion their greatest strength seems to be versatility in defense. Look at their roster. They have many players who can cover 3-4 positions in defense. This versatility, with a good rotation in defense, allows to stop any team.

Here's the summary:

I watched all three games between these teams in this season. DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE. The atmosphere was like in play off. Defense at the highest level on both sides. Patrick Beverley rules in this aspect. I don't like him but I really appreciate his skills and character. Games very even and extremely fierce. I hope for the LA derby in the final of the conference. I think that who will win this series will become a champion. I support Lakers, but above all good basketball.

Clippers has a better defense and they can spread the floor as any player can score, unlike with the Lakers that we can predict who's gonna make points, it could be either Lebron James of Anthony Davis. With the Clippers, they have PG, Leonard, and their center Montrezl Harrell, and of course you can't discount the contribution of Lou Williams.

Though this is really a good thing for I have think that NBA might not yet comeback this year or may have on December 2020.

They can't afford that, their will be a lot of people working under the organization that will struggle because of no income, and this would not gonna help the economy of the US which has been struggling now due to the big number of cases on covid-19.

I believe they will really push NBA to resume, but of course with proper measures since they will not get the approval if they have no safety measures in place just to ensure no transmission of covid-19 is going to happen again.

First, the number of infected Covid-19 patients should go down substantially.
I am still having a hard time to understand the plan. Perhaps it will be easier while the game on and being explained by the commentator.
Let's look at the NBA source.

Quote
The NBA is coming back after a vote by its board of governors Thursday approved commissioner Adam Silver's plans to send 22 teams to Disney World for the conclusion of the 2019-20 season. As a reminder, the season will be finished under the following terms:

  • All games will be played at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando.
  • The 22 teams that make the trip to Disney will play eight regular-season games each.
  • If the No. 9 seed in either conference is within four games of the No. 8 seed in that conference, they will be pushed into a play-in tournament. The No. 8 seed only needs to beat the No. 9 seed once, whereas the No. 9 seed must win twice.
  • The first games will be played on July 31. Game 7 of the NBA Finals, if necessary, will be played on Oct. 12. Training camps for the 2020-21 season are expected to begin on Nov. 10, while the start of that season is projected for Dec. 1, though those dates are fluid.

What happens to the 8th seed if they lose twice?
A schedule will help a lot in this situation.

Btw, how many games have been played against Lakers and Clippers this season? Seems like a good play IMO,

It seems they have faced each other three times already.

Here's the summary:

Sadly, Kawhi's team prevails the LA but whatever, there should be a last match up between them somewhere in April if the league doesn't stop the operation. What a waste, Lakers might have a chance to tie it Undecided. Well, anyway, their matchup in playoffs would be way more interesting.

Might be, or they can't simply miss their schedule besides their are games that haven't finished yet. Now I've been thinking,... (LazyCrazy) Social Distancing will be applied on NBA 😂 Just imagine on how they're going to block 😂

As per post above, the NBA season will reason late July or early August, that gives them a lot of time to prepare and I think they have been practicing already by now. (information) NBA is a big organization, they will not mess up this opportunity given to them, so I believe they will succeed on resuming the games, and we will once again start to make conversation here regarding the actual games we watched.

So, it's official!
NBA will be returning late in July
A great news indeed, now we can finally make bets again.
Though I don't know what it will be like for we have a new normal life after this pandemic. Though this is really a good thing for I have think that NBA might not yet comeback this year or may have on December 2020.

That's right, the protocol must be followed, testing the players and the entire team to resume the matches. Probably as this season the calendar has not been met due to the pandemic, the games that were scheduled are not fully met, players could earn less income from their wages. But I think that this is not so important when health is first .

So, it's official!
NBA will be returning late in July and these are some of the game format upon resuming the 2020 season.
Did you guys think it's better to see a play-in tourney when theres a closer gap on the lower seed?
Nevertheless, I'm kinda excited to watch NBA actions again, though I was thinking how would they able to maintain their health security measures. Good thing I read about this one.

"Players and staff would be isolated from an extent in Disney World, with players able to play golf and eat at the restaurants, at the resorts while being cut off from the rest of the world and the threat of Covid-19. It is expected players will be regularly tested for the virus and will enter  quarantine should they proved to be positive in Covid-19"

Ok they talked about how the league basically returns and the next year as well, I am not against the plan of next year, its actually much better with december 1 and I hope that stays, that way it could go into summer as well and we could have a season at June or July next year as well. They didn't say when it will end, but we could make a deduction about how long it could be, normally its about 1.5-2 months beforehand and it ends around april (regular season) and depending on the playoff schedule, normally its about early june that it ends. Now that its postponed next year, I assume late july and early august finish? That could be a trouble for the olympics and world cups and so forth if they keep this type of schedule going.

"The N.B.A. will formally present a return-to-play plan to its team owners on Thursday that calls for 22 of its 30 teams to resume the 2019-20 season at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in late July, according to several people familiar with the league’s intentions.
It's official now, voting passed, result was 29-1. Only ones that were against the proposal  were  Blazers. There are few othe other decisions:
Why do they get all those teams from the west but not from the east? I didn't see an explanation on why some teams are playing and some teams are not. If it is about title contention possibility, we have Suns playing, nobody thinks they are going to win anything or even be in playoffs.
There is one team from the East, Wizards. Simply put, those teams with realistic chances to qualify for playoff will play those 8 games, and those that don't have chances won't continue, as there is no point.

Regarding Phoenix, they have more wins than any other Easter teams below 8th spot so I wouldn't call them total crap. They didn't choose teams that will continue based on titles win, but on chances to finish in top 8. Check the standings and you will see why it makes sense to include them and not Hornets or Bulls from the East. For example, Hornets are 7 games behind Orlando Magic that holds 8th spot in the East, and only 8 games are left to play.

In the other news, NBA announced that draft lottery will be held on August 15th, and draft on October 15th.

Warriors makes sense, they are bad right now but they have a fan base thanks to going to finals 5 times in a row, sure they will suck right now but they are going to both get a lot of views on TV but also get better next year so it is nice to keep them in the talks, but Suns? Who watches suns? Nobody likes them and they are very bad as well. At the end of the day there should be a reason why so many west teams are playing and so little east teams are playing, why isn't equal 1 to 1 between conferences

That is only a rumor I guess, we can only see the NBA will resume if Adam Silver the Commissioner of the NBA of the NBA will make a formal announcement. Rumors depends from which source the information is coming, but it could be close to resume since we are hearing a lot of rumors already.
Yup. It's probably 99% true. I think they are still ironing out some of the details like the format of the tournament before it will be approved.

Maybe it's also another way of telling players not to slack off and start training seriously.

That's good, at least those teams who are below in the top 8 ranking still have a chance qualify in the playoffs.
Now that they have finalized the format of the game, maybe next time we will know when the NBA will resume, right?

I believe we are already close in witnessing the comeback of the NBA based on the updates they have recently published.

The single-site, 22-team format requires the voting support of at least 23 owners but is expected to be approved comfortably during a conference call scheduled for Thursday at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time, according to the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss the details of the proposal."
