^ No game 6 Klay, I thought he will be the one helping Steph in this game, but it was Donte DiVincenzo. Bad time for the Warriors to really caught up with their bad shooting.

On the other hand, the Lakers doesn't want to go to game 6, Bron and AD, Austin Reaves and D'Lo wanted to finished the series.

You really have to give it to their new coach for the adjustments here. And Pat Beverly and Russell Westbrook chance to get a ring is still alive with the Lakers eventhough they are no longer with them as far as I know.
Too bad for GSW, I really thought they will have a great win today but the result is different, I lose a bet but its good to see how GSW played the game, they still tried their best and fell short, come back stronger GSW!

Anyway, Westbrook is no longer part of the Lakers so technically there's no chance for him to get a ring. Denver vs Lakers will be exciting, I see how dominant Denver is so this will be a big challenge for Lakers to get a big win against Denver, we'll see.

Him and Pat can still win a ring,  Pat Beverley to receive a ring if the Los Angeles Lakers win it all.

But not gonna lie, it's going to be hard as they are going to face the top seed in the West, the Denver Nuggets.

However, I think the Lakers has a chance, they have a deeper bench that Denver and at any given night there will be a player that will explode and it's going to be very difficult for the Nuggets to stop that guy if they lack role players.

I do agree that Jokic was a very good candidate, but he really wasn't robbed of anything at all imo, Joel Embiid deserves it just as much as Jokic, but unfortunately only one can win it right ?

I agree with you on this. Although I expected Jokic to win again, Embiid's performance in the regular season cannot be neglected either. Well, the result has come out, and Embiid was awarded the MVP. I'm sure Jokic is okay with that. What Jokic wants now is to prove that he is a great player, and he aims to achieve that by winning a championship with the Nuggets.

While Embiid's team is engaged in a hard battle on the road, Jokic is already waiting for the Lakers in the WCF. Let's see if Embiid can still make it to the ECF, and who knows, we might witness a Jokic vs. Embiid matchup in the Finals. That would help settle the debate on who is better, as the champion is undoubtedly the better player.

Jokic not being MVP is such a shame, that has been something that bothered me a lot. I understand that they didn't want to give it to him for three years in a row but the fact is simple that he is the best player in the league right now and the most valuable player.

I quite don't agree with your opinion, I understand how complete Jokic is as a player and how many incredible stuffs he does almost every other night in the league, it would have been deserved had he won it again, but Embiid winning it is also very much deserved, there is something I need you to understand when it come to MVP voting, it doesn't just work around the numbers you're dropping, but I think the better the remaining roster around is might also reduces your compared to another with similar input for the season, and have had their roster underperform or are rather more inconsistent for some part of the season. I do agree that Jokic was a very good candidate, but he really wasn't robbed of anything at all imo, Joel Embiid deserves it just as much as Jokic, but unfortunately only one can win it right ?

The Lakers just had everything going for themselves tonight. LeBron James had an extremely efficient night and Klay Thompson couldn’t make a shot. Austin Reaves had a great game as well. I thought it might go this way since the Warriors are bad on the road and this was the best chance the Lakers would get to put them away. With 5 minutes left they need to take out LeBron and AD now.
No Game 6 Klay Thompson and I don't like the way he is forcing all those shots. It's not wise for a team that wants to tie the series.

So that's it. We will have a new champion this year as the Golden State Warriors are knocked out by the LA Lakers.
I like where this is going. We might have a chance to see a repeat of that head-to-head by Lebron James and Jimmy Butler in the bubble if ever both of them will make it to the Finals.
Or, a championship for the 2 time MVP Nikola Jokic. Or, a ring that had been pursued by James Harden and the MVP of this year Joel Embiid.
For me though, I think I am leaning with the Denver Nuggets to win the championship.
As of now, it's just 3.20 if they make it happen but I caught it 8.50 when the playoffs started.
I'm thinking Denver makes it to the Finals but not sure who they will face from the East. None of the teams are really dominant. My guess is probably Boston Celtics pull out the win and it's Denver vs Boston for the title. Jokic gets a ring. Just my guess though.
I agree with you. The Denver Nuggets have been very healthy this postseason, but Jokic has truly evolved his game. If he's unable to score inside, he contributes on the defensive end and provides assists to his open teammates. Moreover, the Nuggets have showcased enough role players off the bench during this postseason, which greatly aids their chances of winning. While the Suns are an Impressive team, their significant loss to the Nuggets by 30 points in a do-or-die game highlights the danger this Nuggets team poses, particularly when playing at home.

End of an era at GSW in my opinion. It was a fun ride with epic memories but I don't see them having a bounce from this in the next years. Also , some trades might occur in this summer.
They need to revamp their roster because not everyone was playing on the same page. I believe the players who were expected to contribute significantly, such as Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole, have not lived up to expectations in the playoffs. I mention them specifically because they are high-paid players, yet their performance has been inconsistent. The Warriors are still a good team, but some lineup changes could potentially make them a championship team once again. Additionally, they should consider adding more big men to their roster so they are not solely reliant on outside shooting.

It was normal for Lakers but also for Heat to win this series and I still don't get it why Heat is not 2nd favorite in this one ? They can beat either Denver or Lakers if they will reach the finals as I don't see neither Celtics or 76ers to beat Heat in next series.
You might not be the only one who thinks that way, as the Heat have been underestimated due to their performance during the regular season. However, it's possible that they could surprise everyone and win the championship in the NBA Finals. Such an accomplishment would be significant for Jimmy and the team.

Bad shooting night for the rest of the Warriors, aside from Steph, who really did try everything but ends up short.

The defense of lakers is really sticky. They did not give any easy shot most are being contested,
they adjust to whatever the Warriors will try to come back in the game, before the end of the 3rd
Steph did some run to almost cut the lead in a single digit game, but Lakers' coach is good
calling a time out to break the momentum.

We will go to see a rematch between Nuggets and Lakers, no Howard to bother Jokic,
it will be Davis against Jokic two superstars that we will expect to bring everything as it is the conference
finals, one more series then world title will be their next journey.

It's not even about who is the best player right now, I would say Curry is, but the fact is simple; who gave the most value to their team. This is the best player in the best team that saw Conference finals this season, and just because he already won it twice doesn't mean that he shouldn't win it again, he deserved it. Embiid is not bad neither I have to say that but that doesn't mean that he deserved it, it just means that Jokic was robbed a chance to win it once again because he was awesome.

It's too tough for Steph to bring all of the team. It's terrible to look at their performance on the game 6 without the help of those that we've been thinking his going to be his other wings.

And Pat Beverly and Russell Westbrook chance to get a ring is still alive with the Lakers eventhough they are no longer with them as far as I know.
Lucky pals.

But if that's the rule then they'll surely get it there and will show some support to the team. Although the reality is that they're still far from it and they've got to eliminate Nuggets and whoever goes to the finals on the other side.

Denver has the higher chance in getting to the finals. However, the Lakers won't gonna give an easy fight against them for sure. The Lakers defense are their main key as to why they have come this far. Besides, they both played each other in the WCF bubble 2020 though with a totally different supporting cast, but we cant deny the Denver really have depth but let's see what happens with this series.
Giannis got his ring already, I also think Jokic will also get his this year.

Perhaps we wanted to live by his monicker, game 6 Klay, but not this time against the Lakers.

There's no denying that Jokic is a monster this playoff. So I wouldn't be surprised if they go all the way to the finals for the first time. The Lakers are good, but I don't see anyone that can guard Jokic one on one here. So maybe I will go with Nuggets here on their series against the Lakers. Good for those Lakers backers in their series against the Warriors. I thought that the Warriors can get it in 7, but Lakers can't be stop.

Honestly it was definitely a worthy game for Lakers and proved how they deserved their win. I understand that Warriors are a good team but Lebron still has their number and managed to get that win, this was "probably" last competition between Lebron and Warriors and I am happy that Lebron got it, next season he may not be this good. Now it is Nuggets vs Lakers and yes I am aware that Jokic was the best player in the league and Nuggets was the best team in the conference, and yet I still can't help but think about how Lakers may end up winning. Stopping Jokic is near impossible, dude is so much better but in all other positions Lakers may do a great job if they could only focus well enough. Seeing Lebron get yet another title would be magical and unexpected.

Goodbye to the Golden State Warriors until the next season again and come back stronger. While we congratulate the Lakers as they proceed to the next bracket which is the conference finals(semi-finals) against the Nuggets. Another great match-up that we're going to watch. As Miami advances and just waiting for the winner of the Phila and Celtics as they go for game 7.
The Lakers coming from the lowest on this season and going this far while Nuggets. I guess this is one of their first appearances on the semis IIRC, CMIIW.

Everyone in lakers is contributing very well unlike Warriors where they are having a bad time connecting the rim. Curry is the only one lifting them up this is the reason why they lost to lakers. I didn't expect that they perform as bad as today since they are really good on their last win and I thought they would bring that this game 6 since Warriors is known to became more competitive in their do or die games.  But Lakers dominate them and result shows how inconsistent they are this season.

I can’t wait for this Lakers Warriors game tonight. I’m pulling for the Lakers because I can’t stand Curry, but I’m worried if that Lakers can’t pull it off tonight, they won’t be able to win game 7 at Golden State.  Thankfully Anthony Davis is playing tonight.

I hope Wiggins suits up as well. I don’t want either team to have an excuse for not winning.

Will be placing a bet on LA at -3.5

The match will be close,if Lakers dont win today i think they dont have a chance in Game 7 against the Warriors. I think Lebron and Davis need to be playing at their very best so that they take the win. If Curry goes into his scoring mode i dont think they will be able to stop the Warriors. But overall expecting a close match.

It seems the game isn't as close as everyone probably expected. The Lakers are leaving the Warriors behind. They have always been taking the lead. The Warriors are the ones catching up all the time. Right now, the lead is kept at a comfortable level, two digits. If the Warriors want to win this game and stay in this playoffs they will have to act urgently. Time is running out, with less than 5 minutes left in the third. This might be the end for the defending champ.
