I love this topic, yes I expect more instutional players even in educational sectors
I hope the market will show much higher prices and action than in 2017. And it will not surprise anyone this time.
I hope so, but we can't really compare 2017 though, it's different, there's a lot of positive news that year that really push the price to almost $20K. But as far as institutional money, I reckon some of them are really already in this market for a long time.
But there are more still waiting from the outside, and willing to pour their money once we they see that the market is recovering or maybe a BAKKT approval will be a good sign for them to enter the market. And we might see more institutions, offering the same so eventually Wall Street can't really deny that crypto is the new generation and will join in as well.

I think so. That's why all those banks, NYSE etc are preparing all types of platforms, exchanges. They are preparing the industry for new big coming funds.

We are seeing many major player entering the market and some have raised fund as well,many have eyes on baakt and etf approved then we can seen another bull run.we have also seen patented done by major player like IBM,MasterCard,etc so we can expect good rise in price in 2019.there are many rumor of Wall Street player thinking of getting in crypto in big way but that would happen when etf get approved.so ETF approval or disapproval will play significant role in manipulation of price.

We do all hoping for the success of crypto as a modern way of payment and currency as well. This new system will surely generate a lot of clients if it turn back into high price and it could encourage more investors and company owners to participate with. New major exchanges like BAAKT and DX exchange are coming soon that will cater to big institutions. Any new approved ETFs will help too.

because the platform from an infrastructure project will be usefull in 2019
Reading the BAKKT news today and the new funding raised by the team and the profile fo those people that invested intot he project makes me to believe that instituitional money has come to stay in the space, but the way they are going about it is what is giving me a second thought, they are not investing directly into the space, I just hope with this value and adoption will increase better in 2019

This might be a big year for crypto and everybody’s hoping for good investment recovery. The cryptocurrency market seems to be very potential, I hope 2019 will have many big organizations in the world to join, I know there are many experts who predicted the price of bitcoin to rise very high in 2018, etc... but almost nothing happened, hoping this prediction would happen because he did not predict the price !! 
Certainly, many large players will join, but before that there must be legal regulations and I am sure that ICO projects would have a greater chance of attracting such investors. The problem is because ICOs scam feel unpunished due to lack of regulation. When it will change, institutional investors certainly will come.

Yes, the new year 2019 will be more interesting for all the crypto players. We are going to have very much positive markets in coming days as most institutional funds are waiting for new year to enter in. I guess bitcoin etf also will be getting approved in 2019 which may bring more good things to crypto holders for sure.
Hopefully with clear regulations in 2019 as explained above, it can make someone who will invest become more confident and establish themselves to invest their assets in cryptocurrency.

Its different when people who stablished a good name in business industry gave a bold prediction. It would drag interests from mediocre investors that could help the market rise again. Every year, we have many different investors. The ups and downs of electronic money have made the crypto market diversify investors. so it is obvious and we do not need any leader to speak up.
There are lots of indication of crypto recognition by next year which may cause a price rally for most altcoins. Countless preparation was being made this year for the good of cryptocurrency and its users so a market recovery is possible. Everyone is looking forward for an all time high so if there will be millions and big time players who enters the market, this will not be impossible. Again those institutional investors won't enter unless they are sure that they going to profit, not just profit but to get huge money. Currently, the market has nothing to offer, everyone is exhausted and not willing to enter the market again. Unless the SEC approved ETF's or BAKKT Bitcoin offering goes live early January 2019, I doubt that we can witnessed "institutional money" providing the needed respite to this bear market.

Fully agree with Henri Arslanian, 2019 will definitely be completely different from 2018 year. And maybe there will not be a new ATH on BTC but we definitely will see a lot of opportunities to earn on whole crypto market, including BTC markets.
Also i'm expecting a new wave of ICO's which are not in SEC and United States jurisdiction, and a wave of STO's from USA and other countries with strong regulations in crypto space.
With Bakkt and ETFs on the horizon as well as many other unforeseen avenues we could see a big amount of institutional money entering BTC, although I do think if they're planning to accumulate a lot of it will be done OTC so as not to cause a big price increase overnight.

I don't see why this is something tied to 2019. Projects like IOTA already have their investors (Bosch, ...), banks are already invested in BTC and trade it (Morgan, ...) and states won't buy cryptos because they need stable investments.
Agreed. Maybe some banks will diversify, but they'll always see crypto as a child's game for speculation and market manipulation. Not a sphere where big money should be poured.We should look into adding value to coins before expecting large companies to adopt them.

Yes, 2019 will be a great year hence there is a lot of events that will be going to occur on such year and more and more investors will be coming to enter the world of cryptocurrency. Thus, bringing the bull back again on its way, and we will just have to wait for the great event to happen. So as for now we should have to HODL more tokens as much as we should because this is the start of all.

Yes with likes of events scheduled to happen in 2019 like bakkt launching their platform and ETF may be finally be approved in 2019. So more and more institutional interest is likely to come in the coming year.

That has been our expectations for 2019, I think the ground plan has been put in place and that is why bitcoin price has been brought than for new institutions investors to come in. 2019, is actually a year for us to see another upwards movement and also another time for us to invest.

They have been popular because they are "US" but it doesn't mean that they are the only market and players that you should look at.
Yeah, I might agree with that statement, or I hope that is what will happen. 2018 was the worst year for crypto I think, the decline after skyrocketing price in the 2017 make people think that Bitcoin and crypto is in a bubble, and it is just a matter of time for the explosion and kill all of the investor. I also agree that all of those are mainly because the unclear regulation related to crypto. However I haven't heard some big news about crypto regulation except in china and korea, but I still wish what Arslanian said was true.

Yes most of the big financial players are sooner or later going to enter the crypro markets but i do not know what is taking them so long. Maybe they are busy to clear all the compliance, taxation and regulation policies before proper entry but who knows. I am saying this because during all of this year 2018 i was listening to same news every other day about institutions entering crypto but nothing solid occured we can now only hope they enter as soon as possible and uplift the market.
These non-working ICOs are a real disappointment, but i guess we should understand that products take time to develop and that the investments are purely speculation. EOS raised billions and they don't have a working product yet. Hopefully 2019 will bring in the professionals that will drive crypto towards mainstream adoption

Investors will surely increase due to low coin prices, but large firms, only those who want to distribute the crypt and consolidate its status.
indeed there are many large institutions that are interested in the crypto market, but unclear regulations make them hesitant and worried about their investments. I hope that next year there will be many countries that support and legalize crypto in their countries, so there are many large investors and institutions interested in joining.
After the year of overheating due to speculations in 2017 and the dismal performance in 2018, many people are expecting (maybe wishing I would say) that 2019 can be a lot different. And in this case there can be many predictions and expectations as to what will really happen with the market. Yes, there is a possibility of more institutional involvement with the cryptocurrency market in 2019 though am not sure if this can all directly affect the prices of many coins or tokens as these institutions have their own interest to protect too -- in fact these are the same institutions that Bitcoin is supposed to get away with...and now there is a big possibility that at the end they can be the ones controlling Bitcoin and the whole market and then drop it when the going get tough. Sadly, we still live in the world of reality and there is no way to escape the control and influence of these institutions. I am hoping to be wrong though.
