People try to promote their own products using the general hype surrounding Bitcoin, and this incident is no different. Here the investor (Christian Angermayer) is trying to promote psychedelic mushrooms by using Bitcoin as clickbait. For profiting out of Bitcoins, you just need to HODL. There is no need to do anything else. Cannabis or mushrooms are not going to increase your profits. I don't think that we should give importance for these people, as it will harm the mainstream adoption of Bitcoin.

Precisely.  Anyone who has bought and held (or mined and held) between 2009 and early 2021 is way ahead.  It hasn't been rocket science.

If you were an alcoholic you could say alcohol is responsible for your winning streak with bitcoin because you were always investing while drunk.

If you were a sex addict you could say that you always called a prostitute before trading and it made you even more money.

This guy is pretty stupid to think tripping was the real reason behind it all Cheesy

Most of us here made money on Bitcoin and we aren't blaming it on some random things.

There you go, the riddle is solved already.

Using click baits to gather more people onto their business and it was indeed one hell of a strategy for the market. I don't think this guy is just tripping shrooms then go trade and made billions. At first, I thought the news was satire but it was reported by bloomberg so I kind of confused.

I expect another dramatic scene article next time about making money from Bitcoin using their main tools in businesses. It's a good propaganda to promote both Bitcoin and their business so it's kind of a win-win strategy or something like a fud news to gather more curious people to click their baits. lol

Was supposed to say the same thing about Clickbaits on where others been using some trending stuff and embedd it into their business to make it look interesting but its actually not.

Theyre just trying to make use of its popularity for their own sake and for sure people wont easily fall out with these cheap tricks on just for them to make use and sell off their coins
rather than on  saving it up.

It is indeed no rocket science ^.  Cool

I literally just searched "christian angermayer mushrooms" and I've seen a bunch of articles related more on the mushroom rather than Bitcoin itself. This guy is basically trying to commercialize psychedelic drugs through one of his companies. Reading the article on him about Bitcoin and mushrooms confirm what I suspect that it was his time thinking while under the influence of the mushroom that made him invest in Bitcoin. His other interviews about his company he always takes credit on him having a trip with mushrooms for me he could just be promoting mushrooms as he will soon have a product from it.

The experience was revelatory. During that moment of profound self-insight and ego-quieting, Angermayer claimed he “finally understood bitcoin.”

The only outcome of an article of this nature is that of showing bitcoin in the usual bad way that the mainstream media likes more than everything. To catch a few more clicks, they can go as far as writing these stories.

Nothing new here. Journalists, media, they all have their own agenda: to generate revenue. They don't care about you, nor me, nor Bitcoin.
Before Bitcoin I already knew that TV shows are the filler between the commercials.

Out of normal events make people curious. So they didn't care they send a wrong signal, they didn't care it sounds like a poorly made up story, they have a story.

You're amazingly right NeuroticFish: luck is extremely underrated.

I wanted to get a sense here too and it seems we are more or less agreeing on it.

It has not much to do neither with the mushrooms, since he didn't sell next day when he got sober, it's not much informative and people can get wrong impression about investing in Bitcoin, ... I'm neither amused not impressed.
There's only one good point in that news: luck is underrated.

This news looks like some kind of mushroom porridge! ; D What does mushrooms have to do with it? How can this be related to successful investments and the profit that could theoretically be obtained on the difference in exchange rates even this year? Why did he take this particular German investor as an example? All this looks like some kind of joke or news from the yellow newspaper)) Explain normally please, otherwise I'll just go for mushrooms in the hope of getting rich! : D

Super Mario isn’t the only one who consumes mushrooms to get more coins.

A German investor who made billions off of Bitcoin and other ventures has shared the secret to his success: tripping on mushrooms.

Shrooms were “the single most meaningful thing I’ve ever done in my whole life,” said Christian Angermayer, 43, who’s made boatloads investing in new-frontier enterprises from cryptocurrency and space travel to life extension, Bloomberg reported.

Isn't it hilarious? The Caribbean, mushrooms (they're legal in the Caribbean) and Bitcoin could become a thing after this news.
Don't start selling your bitcoins for mushrooms on the dark market now, please.
