This forum is definitely one of the most famous and used Bitcoin related websites since the creation of Bitcoin itself, but if we take it out of the race saying it is out of that league, then we would definitely need to look at other sectors such as trading. Trading is the most used among cryptocurrency holders, so websites that either allow trading of these cryptocurrencies or provide details and information about them must be the best and most used websites.

So considering that, I would say that exchange platforms such as Binance and price aggregators such as Coinmarketcap must be the best websites of the present since these are the ones which are mostly used by cryptocurrency holders for trading purposes and to check the stats of cryptocurrencies.

Bitcointalk forum or freebitco.in. Both are alive since the early years of Bitcoin, besides being a pool of opportunities for many adopters, possibly being essential websites on the journey of everyone who has introduced BTC to their lives and part of their initial steps, which resulted on the acquisition of the first sums of satoshis in the wallet. Besides having a practical meaning, those sites also have a sentimental meaning for most of us.

So far, for me, this Bitcointalk platform is the best place to go, compared to the Twitter platform of the social media place. Because most of the celebrities on Twitter will post there, And what's even worse is that sometimes the other people who post there are just misleading the information and just using the popularity to get the sympathy of others.

This is a different Bitcointalk forum because, when it comes to Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and crypto trading, everything we can find or need is here; it's a complete package to me, to be honest. And the good thing here is that other communities also provide good references to the topic being discussed here, so it's a good place to get knowledge from a combination of different communities different opinions.

The bitcointalk itself the good website to discuss more among the bitcoin community. The twitter may be the second website to know more about the cryptocurrency and new launch of cryptocurrency in everyday life. The celebrity who inverse their investment in the cryptocurrency had their impact in the twitter. So it help us to know about the coin which had more demand in the market. The demand for certain coin can be find using the tweet of many celebrities. We don’t forget the Elon musk impact on the Dogecoin.

But we have some hard competitors like the blockchain web page, the fact that you can track transactions and addresses is awesome.
Did you mean blockchain.com? blockchain.com is bad as a wallet and bad in terms of privacy, there are accusations of their cooperation with chainalysis.
There is no best site for Bitcoin because the content is made by individuals and not by a company. These individuals may meet here in the forum, on Twitter, in Reddit, or in technical sections, all of which are good places to learn about Bitcoin and do your own research.
What is distinctive about this forum is the level of experience of members and their neutral evaluations, even towards the services they announce, which earns credibility.

Thanks for all your answers guys, i'm not surprised to see a lot of you calling BTT the number one site, and I didn't expect to see multiple users calling Twitter (Now X) as their #1. And it has since because all the whales and influencers use that platform to bump, dump, and announce anything related to cryptos.

And as you guys mention, maybe the question is not clear enough, it should be the best bitcoin-related site, but some of you would keep asking "Best sites in terms of what?", The question is really general, but i really enjoy this morning drinking my coffee and reading all your answers.

These days bitcoin is discussed everywhere pretty much. About 10 years ago or so you would of only used bitcointalk. However since then we have a large gathering on twitter, Reddit, discord, etc.

We also got tons of news sites such as coin telegraph and coindesk. We got coin market cap which is your go to if you want to see what is new and pumping.

Bitcoin is one site that has no comparison. But I am very less connected to any website other than Bitcoin, but I use social media a lot, Twitter being one of them. Where you can find appropriate advice if you can keep the discussion right.
Having a discussion in the Bitcoin section is definitely a very good advice given by experienced people. Although Twitter also offers advice from experienced people, discussions on Bitcoin forums are more informative. So I finally want to say that the BitcoinTalk forum is always good.

I'm not sure if we can select one website if we account for different functions, as discussing Bitcoin, reading about Bitcoin, using Bitcoin for fun, storing Bitcoin, and exploring transactions are all very different things.
I love this forum as a place to learn new things, see perspectives of other people, and express opinions. While sometimes discussions aren't very productive, I often find the posts to be quite respectful and containing useful references, especially if we compare this platform with social media like Twitter or Facebook.
I don't use blockchain explorer much, but I do recognize that it's a valuable place. And so are websites that help see the dynamics of transaction fees, not to mention those monitoring the price. I just think they should not all be held against one another in a competitive manner.

From your personal point of view, what would you say it's the #1 Bitcoin Site?
One that says the bitcointalk forum is the best bitcoin site now and in the future as long as the discussion is still active.
Because it is true that the bitcointalk forum is very complete in presenting information that is discussed until it reaches a conclusion.

To get news about bitcoin, social media platforms like twitter provide information on studies and speculation by people who are directly involved in trading and investing and people who may be directly involved with large corporations. From there, the information was relatively fast and I even found many studies and discussions in this forum that were raised from perspectives found on Twitter.

Each website has its own use and everyone is surely going to agree that the forum as the best forum and discussion website related to Bitcoin.

But from my point of view, the Bitcoin website that most impressed me without doubts is Secret Scan. They have a calculator where you can get the value on each step of address encryption from Hex keys to uncompressed addresses, and some other tools. (https://secretscan.org/PrivateKeyHex), A tool like this is not secure with sensitive data, but is awesome for educational proposes and understanding the Bitcoin addresses step by step. For me as a developer is awesome to see tools like this.
I don't know this website but with its use and you being a dev, it's certainly one of the best as your preference. And other devs might agree to that if they're using this tool. And if we're going to expand this discussion into different types of use of websites, we've got our preferences coming from exchanges, mixers, casinos, technical websites, etc.

Best website will always be Bitcointalk. For discussion I prefer r/Bitcoin and r/Bitcoin beginner. For enquiries I would prefer asking those AI that are making humans crazy like hell. Stack overflow  is a good option if I have any queries or questions. For lessons on Blockchain I feel udemy offers good courses. I may be wrong as I personally haven't explored it. I did hear many good things about the courses.

Best sites in terms of what?

For forum discussion: Bitcointalk, twitter and reddit are the best sites if you're looking for real life discussion.

For technical discussion: stack overflow.

For centralized exchange, centralized mixer etc anything related to profit and vulnerable against hack, it's vary from time to time since the project can turn to be scam or bankrupt.

Mastering Bitcoin is a famous book about Bitcoin so the Github page for that book is one of most favorite ones too.

Last one I think of is Bitcoin.org as it is one of oldest websites for Bitcoin community.

Maybe the better term should be, best bitcoin-related websites or some sort.

Not a fan of following any famous crypto streamers or popular crypto personalities so I will disregard their respective channels. Honestly, it's only here, bitcointalk forum that I lurk most of the time since then. I'm using several crypto-exchanges and services as well but not to the point that they are my favorite sites. Just use their service as I need.

Depends though on anyone's preferences based on how they use the certain site.

I don't really know how to give exact criteria to name the best Bitcoin website for 2023.

So far I am trying to comprehend this site as you have mentioned but i see something interesting about it though. Among all the bitcoin sites I have come across non of them is as unique as this platform. Some are even trying to imitate the activities of this platform but  can never be like this platform. If  I were to be the judge of any competition to award the best bitcoin site of all time, I would give it to bitcointalk.org as this platform have imparted so many lives with knowledge, wealth and skills. So far, organisations have been made through this platform and many project emanated from here as well. So it would not be any other but this platform to be the best bitcoin site of all time.

This forum alone will give you a ton of knowledge that you won't see in any other crypto-related websites.
But if you want a quick news or updates about what's happening with crypto world, you can always head to
sites like coindesk or cointelegraph. Just to see the pulse of the market and what they are talking about the crypto in general.
This will give you a hint also what are some big news surrounding this market. And may suggest what you need to do with your portfolio.
This will also provide you some background of what popular personalities or top companies are up to these days when it comes to crypto.

I haven't used any website related to Bitcoin except this forum. And yea, I am seeing Coinbase Crypto Payments being used on various online platforms, so that's a plus point. I like how easy it is to pay with Crypto right now with the tools integrated. Should be more easy if they implement Lightning Network and then it's accepted everywhere around the globe. That will be so good. And yes, Twitter ofcourse which is now X.

I believed this website you mentioned is the one they used in the seminar that I attended in the years back which was the first time I heard about bitcoin and cryptocurrency because in that website they were using calculator to calculate bitcoin before buying and selling. And also use it to know the profit. But I have forgotten the website and must of the things the instructors said in the seminar. And I also wanted to buy coins from one of the participants but he refused so I left the whole stuff and idea until a friend reintroduced me to this forum again before last year. As for me, I have not really seen a site that  I like except this forum. Even the one I said I knew from you is uncertain. Because I don't know the site again.

I think that it would be necessary to sectorize... a forum I think cannot be compared with a certain site that is dedicated to exploring directions. Many pages that according to what they do determine that quality to give it a quantitative position.

For example, mempool.space is a page that should be referenced but not in the comparison with (better than) our forum.

Within our same niche (BTT) there is a range of sites that make life and that the subject of Bitcoin is directly and indirectly decisive...

But anyway, if I stuck to your idea, I'd say it's bitcoin.org

News: Twitter — assuming you follow just the right people and mute all the fluff
Discussion: Twitter and Bitcointalk. Twitter in a way that you can get the opinions of prominent people in the Bitcoin space if you spark a discussion that's interesting enough. Bitcointalk because everyone gets equal post visibility.

Imagine you have to select a website for the best Bitcoin site today, is a tricky question and I know a lot of people would say BitcoinTalk is the number one, I mean, this forum is a legend. But we have some hard competitors like the blockchain web page, the fact that you can track transactions and addresses is awesome.

After 9 years in this crazy crypto world, I have seen some crazy stuff, markets, on-chain casinos, coin mixers. Those guys use the cryptos in a crazy way, and for some people, these ones could be considered the best sites.

But from my point of view, the Bitcoin website that most impressed me without doubts is Secret Scan. They have a calculator where you can get the value on each step of address encryption from Hex keys to uncompressed addresses, and some other tools.
