I've just made a new binary of Electrum 2.1.1 on OS X. The previous build won't work on core 2 duo CPUs. Sorry for the inconvenience. You can re-download it from the website.

same here crashing on open

Opened my 2.1 wallet today all working fine. Saw the update notice and updated to 2.1.1. Wallet crashes upon open. Ok swapped out with 2.1. Wallet crashes upon open.
I've since got the python homebrew route to work so not scuppered but less technical users might find they are unable to open their wallet.
Let me know if you want to report crash log.
