I'm sorry to hear about your sorry but it seems like you have been a victim of hacking but that isn't a reason enough for you to end your life. That's a big amount but you should just move on from it. There are still lots of chances for you to earn higher than what you've lost 2 years ago. Just accept the fact that you can't have your Bitcoin again and grind harder to earn bigger instead of crying over it. Mourning for it will never change the situation.
I think almost trader, investor and bounty hunter ever got hack and I loss my assets from bounty hunter with bigger amount, you right we have move on from how much stolen our assets and wake up to get more again from cryptocurrency and become experience how to be careful for the future with our assets, I think this more enough how to teach us to keep safety with our assets.

Even if we consider what you are saying is true and you have lost 2.3 bitcoins and neglect the fact that the youtube video is 2 years old you should know that once the bitcoins are gone from your wallet it cannot be reverted. Nobody will send you your coins unless someone is really generous. So you should consider your coins lost.
Since 2019, I want to find a way to get my bitcoins back. I've been looking for my bitcoins for 2 years now. If I don’t find them, I will commit suicide. I will never get my bitcoins back. I came to this forum hoping to get my bitcoins back.

You not be careful when holding or saving your bitcoin assets, I think many people will get scam and looking how much assets do you have, best way how to make our data keep safety never show off with how much asset do you have in your wallet or you account exchange, when some one know with your assets very risk to get your data.

Bitcoin is an online-based virtual currency that can never be seen or touched, but can be transacted through blockchain technology.  I entered your link and saw that you shared the link with bitcoin transaction about 2 years ago but why didn't you share this link long ago.  I don't think it's possible for you to recover this bitcoin.

The theft has been made nearly 2 years ago and now you are just posting it??
I don't know if it really is yours or not but whatever happens, you will not get your Bitcoins back since it is your responsibility to secure it unless the receiver will send it back to you which is we know will not happen. Cheesy

Since 2019, I want to find a way to get my bitcoins back. I've been looking for my bitcoins for 2 years now. If I do not find them, then I will end my life. I will never get my bitcoins back.
You are very depressed we know but committing suicide just for the sake of money isn't the best solution with it. Instead of committing suicide, just start over, get a job and invest little by little. In the span of 2 years if you started it, you must've recovered by now although not as big as that 2.3 BTC that you lost but at least you recovered some of it. Knowing also that we are in a bull market, if you just invested in 2020 then you are sitting unto profits until now.

You can't please someone who steal your Bitcoins my friend, and if you've happen to exposed your security keys which mainly the access for your asset; then I'm sure you can't recover it. If you happen to share your btc access from someone who was close to you or even a friend of yours, maybe you start investigating now.

Since 2019, I want to find a way to get my bitcoins back. I've been looking for my bitcoins for 2 years now. If I do not find them, then I will end my life. I will never get my bitcoins back.

NEVER ATTEMPT TO COMMIT SUCIDE

Ending your life will never solve the problem but create more problems for your family members whom you will leave behind.

There are many people who have lost either money or bitcoin, but life keeps moving on. Take a look at the scam accusation board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 to see how many people lose their Bitcoin; you are not alone. I'm pretty sure they didn't end their life.

Take the opportunity now and start investing a few dollars weekly in bitcoin. It days are yet to be over.

Well, you happen to be one of those who have to learn his lessons the hard way. Now that you've learnt, I believe you'd do better in saving your coins now if you have any. You'd know that you need a hardware wallet so you can keep your private keys safe by yourself.
well, whether this story is true or not, at least we can take a lesson that the importance of having a knowledge base to protect our assets. I've also lost bitcoin, even though I've provided double security, but that's it ... nothing is really safe when it comes to the internet, there's always a way for hackers to infiltrate.
lessons are sometimes expensive, make this as a lesson, then evaluate, and use better security management. I started planning to buy a hardware wallet, who knows that a small piece of my BTC could be valuable one day.

I'm not sure, maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that the OP is on a wild goose chase here.
If he wanted to prove it was really his wallet, he could have simply signed the address, but he didn't. He seems to be attempting to gain sympathy and pity from other members so that he might get some kind of donation. That is why he also included payment address.

I see it as begging.

Like everything you say makes perfect sense to me, because what the opening post does looks begging. And it's not a good thing to do in this forum
by seeking attention and sympathy from the other members of this forum hoping to get a donation. It should have been if this bad incident happened,
just share and learn to be more careful in storing Bitcoin. There is no need to ask to send Bitcoin to OP address,  because I'm sure no one will send
Bitcoin to OP address.

Kinda find it hard to reply when this thread popped up, like I didn't know what to feel for the OP because like you mentioned that the OP is already here since 2019 then s/he should've made a thread already for the concern in the OP.
2 years already passed, and that is the only time that the OP posted.

anyone ever think that the actual victim two years ago is not this newbie on this forum this week

anyone ever thought that this weeks scammer found a video of someone else being a victim to phishing and this current scammer just borrowed the other persons video. and done a screen shot of the video and just whited out the borders to make it not look like it was a screencap of the video..

all done hoping people will donate to his address out of sympathy.

call me a cynic but i smell alot of rotten fish in regards to this OP
he has definitely screen-capped a shot of a 2 year old video. and offered no evidence or detail outside of the video

.. yep OP.. your screencap was a bad edit of the video.. too obvious
(normal people would not just use pre existing public info as proof.. they would use fresh pics)
(screen capping a video and editing a frame is more trouble and more hassle than just taking a pic fresh)

Meehn that is a big money with the current price we have now, that’s why you have to be very careful, and store your coins in the right place and secretly because there are always people who are looking for who to hacked their accounts and steal from it and moreover stop making use of exchanges that are not secure, you should be using safe exchanges for storing big amount of coin like this so that you’re not going to be at risk of losing your money.

Raising an amount like this at this time is not going to be easy. And by the way I don’t know why you’re posting your address here because nobody is ready to send you that kind of money for free just like that.
People do usually learn when its already too late or they had already been scammed.Wayback they dont really mind too much about the probabilities of hacking or being stolen of those funds and when the time happens like this then thats the time they do realize that they should have done those recommended security of your keys or ways on keeping them safe but well its already too late to regret because those coins would never ever be recovered since we know that transactions are irreversible. The thing here to be done is to move on because no one would able to help him out, there no way on someone could really make out those recovery
once it had been stolen, so this is a lesson learned.

If that is actually yours, I'm not sure why you're posting this just now because the YouTube video was uploaded a bit less than 2 years ago in Aug 27, 2019.

But assuming this is actually you losing 2.3 BTC, well, not sure why you're not using a hardware wallet for private key handling with that much amount of money. But yea, I can't understand Russian.

Oh no, always try to have a hardware wallet to store your bitcoin because there's no such thing as an exchange that is safe from attacks.

These hackers are really powerful but we can prevent out assets to be attacked by them.

Being a responsible and aware investor will really help us to secure our coins. It is not expensive to buy a hardware wallet like Ledger Nano X that will secure our bitcoins, it is not hard to order or buy online because there are a lot of website that are selling hardware wallets.

From what I can understand, the OP kept his coins in the electrum wallet and someone hacked in to it and stole the coins. But the entire story doesn't make any sense. The outgoing transaction is from 2019, and from the image it is clear that the transaction was unconfirmed at the time of taking the screenshot. That means that the screenshot was taken in 2019, immediately after the outgoing transaction. So why complain all of a sudden now?

Why would you post a complaint of a theft that happened two years ago now? Who wants to look into that? Anyways, I believe, with more than two years using bitcoin, you should know that transactions are irreversible which means your funds are lost forever.
Well, you happen to be one of those who have to learn his lessons the hard way. Now that you've learnt, I believe you'd do better in saving your coins now if you have any. You'd know that you need a hardware wallet so you can keep your private keys safe by yourself.

When the prices skyrocket, no doubt everyone would start searching their entire house for Bitcoin or try to remember. After all, 2 Bitcoin is worth over 100K and that's enough to buy a house.

Assuming that you are saying the true story, you have lost your bitcoin 2 years from now and asking for help today, Why it took so many years before you asked a help here. Well anyway, I don't think that your 2.3 bitcoin would be turned back to you, we know that once your bitcoin has transferred to another wallet or are gone on your wallet then I don't think that there is a way for you to turn it back as if the hacker will turn it back to you but that is not possible. Just learn your lesson and accept the fact that you already lost a huge amount of money.

Its just a vague and too late to voice that out by now that bitcoin reached so high in price an its value keeps moving forward  And even if you posted or claimed it was your bitcoin that was stolen, transactions are irreversible and those thieves will not surely give back your bitcoin.

If this is true, its very unfortunate for you to experienced that. But what you gonna do? Two years has passed, moved on buddy. And start accumulating your bitcoin again.

Two years have passed and there is nothing we could do to turn it back because imagine the time frame from when it was said to stolen from your wallet, it was already too far away from the current time we have right now. 2.3 Bitcoin is a real deal for looking at the current price of Bitcoin, you would really get into panic once the amount you have been holding turn out to be gone or stolen. The main reason why you must always check upon your wallet and secure that everything is still in tacked. Also, having such amount is already in need to be using hardware wallet instead of putting it into online wallets that can be vulnerable to hacks.

To be honest, the post was already 2 years ago and yet you ste finding your lost bitcoin right now in which the reason behind of finding your lost 2.3 bitcoin was because of the suddenly pump of bitcoin today.  There's no any point of posting your lost bitcoin here in the forum because as of now no one will be able to have the courage to find it because of the years that has been passed. This is more likely reporting a murder case that has been happen for the past 2 years.

I translated the youtube video title and it seems he talking about the stolen BTC years ago 2019.

If the wallet from the image above is yours you might be a victim of an Electrum phishing attack on the past where the user forced to upgrade to the latest version but links popup are phishing websites?
I don't think he lost his fund because of the Electrum phishing attack! Only versions older than 3.3.4 are susceptible to the phishing attack and from the screenshot he posted it seems he is using the 3.3.6 version. Unless he was using an older version then restored his wallet from seed into a newer one when he took the screenshot, of course.

As long as he doesn't know how he got scammed and/or who stole his coins and the transaction got confirmed a long time ago, the chances of recovering them is near zero.

And besides you should have asked this forum that year and not claiming just now.

Anyway ...Sorry for your Loss if you really owned that Bitcoins.
Wake up and forget about how much he loss because very impossible to know with hacker, wallet address can't tracking who is the member of bitcoin fund although sell on exchange, could be they use fake document or data for creating exchange account. You need to be careful next time and I always hold fund on exchange wallet maybe look most secure by adding 2fa and mobile number phone activity.

Ok, you might not have understood what previous people have told you....

There was a previous exploit in the Electrum wallet, where people were fooled into clicking on a "upgrade" option... but it was not a upgrade, rather a re-direction to a phishing site. So this scammer re-directed you to his fake site and then grabbed your login details and then he took your funds.

The scammer could care less about you, he or she already send those coins through a mixer service and wasted your money. These people have zero feelings for other people... they are pure evil.  Angry

First of all, that video doesn't prove anything. You didn't prove it was your wallet, and besides, it's impossible to know for sure that the transaction was made against your will.
Second, threatening to commit suicide in an online community serves no purpose. We don't know who you are in real life, and we can't help you.

If what you say is real, contact local law enforcement authorities and seek psychological support. Friends and relatives could also help. Have you tried talking to anyone about your problem?

You just have to get over it and don't make it worth your life. I can relate, I've also been a victim and had my BTC stolen, a little more than 1 Bitcoin back in 2017, just a little before it reached ATH. It's not as much as you lost, but still, it's a lot. It was my mistake though, I was very careless and kept all my btc on blockchain wallet and wrote down all the data, passwords, seed phrase in the notes on my phone. For some reason, I thought nobody would get there. But one day my phone was stolen and along with it my btc. I was so shocked then, I can't even describe it, I couldn't talk for days. Also, I was just overwhelmed by the stupidity of this whole situation. It's one thing to be a pickpocket, but it's quite another to know about crypto and how to steal it. I worked very hard for that money and didn't spend any of it intentionally, because I believed that Bitcoin will grow, and so it did. And sometimes I get angry, especially today, because I see how much Bitcoin is growing and I imagine how much I could've had by now. However, you just have to let it go. There's no way of returning them back or tracking the thief.
Since then I'm being extremely careful, I don't keep any of my data anywhere except on a piece of paper and I memorize it all and always check out the latest news about frauds and viruses, how to avoid them.
The only way to let it go, I think, is to earn money and make new savings, so that the lost money won't matter that much. That's what I'm trying to do. And it works, the more I earn - the less I care. Though sometimes it still gets to me.

Do not be pessimistic and end your life for 2.3 BTC, there are still many opportunities for everyone in the cryptocurrency market.
Instead of thinking of your lost money with negative thoughts you should look for other opportunities in this market, chances are you will earn another 2 BTC.

The scammer will not return Bitcoin to you, unless you know who it is and you have enough evidence that the police can force the scammer to pay you back.
However this probably happened a long time ago and until now it has not been resolved so I think it is very difficult for you to get your BTC back.

It not a serious matter that you cannot get any bitcoin because all bitcoin may be sold of uses. But I suggest you to take care of your rest bitcoin in your personal wallet. Keep your private keys and phases in safe place.

What do you expect now?
You are posting an old picture and video for what?
People on the forum wouldn't just send help to you even if you post your wallet on however you like,
Even if it is your BTC you should had secured it on a safer wallet so you wouldn't have such problem.
It has been 2 years already you need to move on and learn your lesson if what you even posted was yours.

So I'm interested in this because recently I wanted to work in Bitcoin, I already own some BTC from 2014 which I have forgotten and recently checked and I was shocked at how much it worth now. Back then I used xapo which is an online wallet. Now after reading here I saw that it is recommended to use in-pc software which is why I downloaded electrum to put my btc in. But in this thread now I'm confused that even electrum is no good as the OP lost alot of BTC with it, and most here are saying it is valuable. I am not trying to hijack the thread but seriously should I stick to xapo or move to electrum or find something else? I'm also thinking of maybe invest in my btc using some service like cakedefi if anyone has heard of it.

So, the transaction has almost 2 years, you should let it go by this point mate. Or at least you should prove those were your coins because you share a different address with us.

The only option you have now is to take this as a lesson, as I always say some lessons in the cryptos world are cheap but some others are not. For sure it feels terrible to lose a big amount like that, but you have to move on.

And who said you that this forum will give you your bitcoins back ?
This forum does help people in whatever way possible but it won't just fund a random newbie losing his bitcoins years back due to his own mistake.
I am sorry for your loss but you should probably just move on and try not to repeat the same mistake again. Do not commit suicide as that won't help anybody.
Committing suicide will just make it worse for your family. Instead, try to find ways to earn bitcoins if you are really interested in doing so.
With time and efforts you will be able to earn your bitcoins back in a few years.

If the OP really lost BTC in this way, then he became a victim of phishing through the already very well known vulnerability that was discovered at the very end of 2018. There is nothing that can be done, except that sometimes someone manages to catch those behind the whole operation and that by some miracle the hackers did not spend all the stolen BTC.

Yet the OP may just be trying to market a fake story he found on YT to get a donation to his address - in any case, neither hackers are idiots to return what they stole, nor will anyone donate anything because of such stories. One thing I noticed in the video is that the person who was robbed of 2+ BTC is pretty relaxed, which doesn't seem very normal to me. If nothing else the man in the video figured out what hardware wallets are (holding one in his hand), so I hope he doesn’t do some nonsense again.

Also why would OP beg for bitcoin in the first place? To OP there is no way that the person who stole your bitcoin is going to return it to you, accept the fact that it got stolen and it is your fault in the first place. Being your own bank has its own responsibilities and if you fail to take care of those responsibility then you will have to face the consequences.

I translated the youtube video title and it seems he talking about the stolen BTC years ago 2019.

If the wallet from the image above is yours you might be a victim of an Electrum phishing attack on the past where the user forced to upgrade to the latest version but links popup are phishing websites?

In that case, we don't have a way to get them back or reverse the transaction being made from a fake Electrum wallet. Unlike Paypal that you can raise a dispute to reverse the transaction and actually it was sent years ago so there is no way to get them back.

Next time be active here on the forum about Electrum from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=98.0
Many Electrum users have been affected by a phishing attack last yr 2019 which is why they always recommend users to download directly on the Electrum website and verify the signature due to this attack.

Nobody was forced anything, this is called "phishing" for good reason, it is a HUMAN error (exploit).

The Electrum devs made a mistake in allowing server messages to be displayed (with links), but the HUMAN had to be clicking something. For example, if you use a decent operating system, you absolutely DO NOT click links to upgrade software. Someone running Linux see a message saying "click here to update" and they will simply close the window and comment how idiotic such messages are when the OS has apt or whatever software manager built in.

So if the user goes to a fake wallet, downloads fake wallet, and (obviously) gets the money stolen, this has NOTHING to do with Electrum. The user made this mistake, YEARS ago. Who is he even talking to? The thief? As if he would get a response, in Bitcointalk even less, that must be long gone and spent.

Since 2019, I want to find a way to get my bitcoins back. I've been looking for my bitcoins for 2 years now. If I do not find them, then I will end my life. I will never get my bitcoins back.
So what have you done in the past two years and did you follow the coins and did you inform the exchanges about your situation so that if your coins end up in those exchanges they might help you out even though it is really rare.

Not sure what you have done to get the coins back and i am sure you are well aware of the situation that rarely you get the coins when you are conned and if you are looking for condolence by posting two years late you will get that, really sad to hear these situation but there is nothing that can be done other than following the trail and trying to identifying where your coins are held.

You'll never get them back unless you can identify the scammer from the phishing attack and file a case. Whoever stole it will probably not see your post so threatening or attempting to end your life won't solve anything.

Why don't you try to follow what BitMaxz said about the forked coins. You may still get something and start over
Remember there are fork coins and I believe it's worth claiming.
Even OP will know who it is but that can't force that person to return the scammed money. Imagine, 2years ago, scammers might spend it all.
For that long, nobody will think that it gonna be return, that gonna be lost forever.

I'm not sure if OP is technically knows how to secure his funds not using an online wallet or being aware of phishing sites trick by scammers. Maybe I was not to believe him as anyone can claim that said amount and much more he saying he end his life because he might ends his life 2 years ago then. Probably OP is joking and that sounds unrealistic coz if that it happens to me, I should have to make a post right away after the scam so the public will be aware.

You will be making a huge mistake and putting your love ones in sadness if you take such drastic measures like taking you own life, it may seem like a big amount but not worth taking your life for,
Engage yourself in other means of earning and in no time you would have made more than 2.3 btc,
If your btc was not returned since 2019 I doubt it will be returned now.

As most have mentioned, all transactions in the crypto space are irreversible. I am very to sorry to hear for your loss but what you just posted raise some serious doubts as to the legitimacy of it.

As mk4 mentioned, the video was posted two (2) years ago. Why raise this issue now instead of posting it on the time you lost your bitcoins? In addition, I find it a weak attempt for you to post your BTC address expecting anyone to donate 2.3 BTCs which are worth thousands of dollars nowadays.

Sorry, but if you're really a victim on previous electrum hacking incident (mentioned above), means there's no way you can recover those lost coins as bitcoin transactions are irreversible.

Also, taking your life for such reason will only give mishap to your family and to all people who are depending on you. Money can be earned but life? isn't if wasted so make your decision, it's your life afterall.

You are a victim of phishing attacks and there is no need to drag the issue for so long, move on because the possibility of you getting the 2.3 bitcoin back is not there as they sent the bitcoin to an anonymous wallet.

Sorry but you seem to be blaming us for your Bitcoin being stolen and nobody is to blame here. Threatening that you are going to commit suicide (after 2 years) is not going to solve the problem either, because we can't do anything and those who stole your Bitcoin don't give a damn.

Who will send Bitcoin to your wallet? Two years back your BTC has moved, posting now isn't going to happen anything. Even your post instantly after moved funds from your wallet and confirmed transaction on the Blockchain means the funds gone forever. Bitcoin isn't irreversible or the hacker isn't going to send it back. I am not getting the relationship between YouTube and your wallet. I don't understand the language.

Anyway, you lost it forever. If you still holding such as big amount then move it into any hardware wallet. Often I wouldn't take a risk with Electrum when the amount is quite bigger.
