Thanks again, I will definitely read what is written on this link about the result of the race.  In general, they are actually very interesting.

In the race, you will find cars of different categories.
- You have the Hypercars, which was the old LMP1 category. Being the Hypercars H (from Toyota) which is already a new version of the cars we've been talking about.
- LMP2 which are slightly slower than the old LMP1 which allowed you to run in more endurance races compared to LMP1. The LMP2 category, if I'm not mistaken, will be to finish, because the Hypercars should be able to race in all the events where the LMP2 already raced.
- Then you have the GT categories, which is now due to PRO and GTE, but soon they will only be one.

However, by mistake I previously shared an image of the final result, wrong!
Sorry, here's the new image:

Fine!  Many thanks joker_josue
Of course, a hypercar is not meant to carry passengers.
Yes, and I would be scared to death if they began to transport me at a speed of 320 km / h.  Perhaps even 180-200 is a lot ... Smiley

And cars generally have their main goal - to transport passengers.

It's not just that! For example, for these cars to be able to participate in some races, they must have a certain number of copies sold. The challenge for brands is to make a car that can be purchased by collectors and at the same time is efficient in racing.
I think that doesn't apply in the hypercar category.

In reality, hypercars still have room for a second passenger. The point is that they don't put anything up, and if I don't cheat, there's even a bank. But it's a very basic place and with very little, not to add weight to the car.

The 24 Le Mans virtual, was an esports race, which professional drivers competed virtually on the Le Mans track. I think they used the rFactor game for that. Last year, the FIA organized several similar events because of Covid. If I'm not mistaken, even Formula 1 had something similar.

Thanks for the clarification,
I did not forget that the requirement of the second place was introduced in the races for a long time ago. And it is correct, it should not be canceled even for hypercars. If canceled, the meaning of the race will change. Then it will be something similar to the Formula 1 races, where the cars do not remind the ordinary cars at all, they are purely racing cars.
And cars generally have their main goal - to transport passengers.

I still look - the emblem Peugeot now has become new and much more modern. Looks beautiful. I liked it.

If it does not make it difficult - give a link where to see the summary table of race winners 24 Le Mans 2021.

Looks very impressive!
But I remember that in the competition there seemed to be a requirement for a second passenger seat from the car.  Then, it seemed, the requirement was replaced - the second seat might not stand, but a place for it should have been provided next to the driver's seat.  I see this requirement in hypercars is gone.  Or does it only apply to this category of cars?
And what was the virtual 24 Le Mans last year?
Somehow I missed information on this because of all these pandemics, (damn it!)

You say that only Toyota has a prepared car in this category, or who else, for example, a Ferrari, may also have something?

So far, as far as I know, only Peugeot (of big brands - besides Toyota) has officially announced its prototype Hypercar:
https://www.fia.com/news/wec-peugeot-9x8-le-mans-hypercar-revealed
In the beginning of the 2022 season, the Peugeot car will already be racing.

The ByKOLLES Racing brand has also announced its car: https://www.bykolles.com/news/200-lots-of-experience-and-maximum-motivation-bykolles-presents-test-and-development-drivers-for-the-pmc-project-lmh.html

It is expected that in the coming months Ferrari presents its hypercar.

I discovered with interest the news that in 2023 a team of Americans from the famous Cadillac company will join the races.  But I didn't quite understand why they will not participate in 2022?  I think there is enough time to equip cars and train pilots.  Or maybe it is in the rules of the competition that you need to notify the organizers in advance?

It usually takes 2/3 years to prepare a team for this type of race.

Furthermore, it is a new prototype type, which requires a new car model, and at the moment only Toyota has the model closest to the end.

There is also the iconic motif, as it is in 2013, which 100 years ago was the first Le Mans race. So, nothing better than making a debut in this memorable event. In 2023 we will also have Ferrari, Peugeot and other big brands.
Yes, exactly, I did not take into account that this is a new type of car.
Then, really, one year is not enough to prepare for the competition.  And you were right to notice that they specifically want to re-enter the race (if I'm not mistaken, the Cadillac had already participated for a long time, then where did its team go?) In the 100th anniversary year of the race.  Perhaps this is the right decision.

Cadillac Global Vice President Rory Harvey: "We are excited to compete at the top level of international motorsport in the LMDh class beginning in 2023. Like motorsport, Cadillac is making the transition into a future driven by alternative propulsion. The hybrid nature of the LMDh rules will help us to bridge our technology transfer to our all-electric future. We are excited to carry forward our success and continue to transfer our learnings and technology from the track to our production vehicles. We have had great success with the championship-winning Cadillac DPi-V.R and look forward to building on that record into the future with the next generation Cadillac LMDh."

There was a time in which I was as well a huge fan of this kind of competition however I had to stop because as we know as we reach adulthood we need to face many new responsibilities and we do not have the same amount of time that we had in the past, however this race is not only a test of endurance to the drivers but also the the ones watching at home as this last 24 hours straight and not many people have the time to watch the whole event.

You don't need to watch the full 24 hours of the race to be able to follow it. Also because there are always calmer moments and they can be somewhat awkward.
As a matter of fact, not all those who pay a ticket to be on the premises, come 24 hours a day, as they are taking naps.  Cheesy

Now, visualizing how the race is going, as time allows, is very interesting.

I am a big fan of motorsports in general and usually follow some of Le Mans action.I also love these cars as I also play videogames with such cars like Peugeot 908,Audi R17,Porsche Spider and Toyota. These are some of the best cars and the event is usually great to watch.

Toyota winning overall as well as third means the came well prepared. I was expecting to see the likes of Lamborghini and Ferrari as overall and first runner up. It's really a big win for Toyota keeping our fingers crossed in anticipation for what 2023 performance would look like. A big congratulations to them.

As expected, Toyota wins overall with its new Hypercar.

The American team GLICKENHAUS RACING also performed well, despite finishing in fourth place. But he fought for third place practically until the end of the race.

The interesting thing will be to see this race in 2023, where in the main category we will again see big brands, such as Ferrari.

This year in the main Hypercar category the favorite is again Toyota. But the American team Glickenhaus, racing for the first time in this category, promises not to make life easier for Toyota. It's a shame that Alpine only takes one car, but they will certainly fight for a place on the podium.

In LMP2 it will be tighter. But the cars/drivers of the JOTA team have shown good performances.

In the GT category, usually teams with Porsche cars tend to be more successful, we'll see if Ferrari this year made a bigger investment or not.

I wonder if Toyota will really win or who will be the winner.
Still the drivers I mentioned in the main post (Kazuki, Fernando, Buemi), they have a good mentality in driving in 2020, Toyota has a good chance to win Le Mans for the fourth time.

If you want to bet, you can vote and predict here: Check out the full entry list for the 89th running of the Le Mans 24 Hours, including all the confirmed drivers, teams and cars., what is clear is that everyone who wants to bet, of course has their own favorite team, car brand and driver.

To be honest I don't follow 100% of Le Mans events from year to year, just watch it, from what I see Toyota drivers are very confident, that's just my prediction for this year, based on experience.

I see on average almost all car manufacturers have won at Le Mans, I believe in this race, very strong will win. Drivers who have skill and courage, factor additions, changes and modifications do not guarantee victory, it has happened to ferrari and Nissan cars, so I tend to win this time to the driver himself rather than the car manufacturer/brand.
It's great that they remembered here in the BTT about such legendary competitions between motorists and car manufacturers.
I also watch these races sometimes, but also usually in the final stage.  And I agree with the assertion that all modern cars prepared for such a race have approximately comparable characteristics and everything lies in the endurance, training and mental stability of the pilots.  I wonder if Toyota will really win or who will be the winner.
By the way, I recently saw some Hollywood feature film about these races.  Not a bad movie by the way.

In less than twenty-four hours  the tournament will kick of I think that would be the best time to decide who wins the tournament after watching at least one of the athlete perform. This is my first time of following 24 Hours of Le mans maybe after this very tournament I will have an idea on how to go about predicting in games like this.

Who do you think will be the winners in the various categories?
Saya sering melihat balapan 24 Hours of Le Mans, terakhir yang saya lihat tahun 2020, Toyota memenangkan Le Mans yang ke tiga kali 2018, 2019 dan 2020 oleh Kazuki, Fernando, Buemi, but the three of them are not very famous in Le Mans, as far as I know the most successful in Le Mans is Tom K, with 9 wins that he won at Le Mans.

But I'm more sure this time the victory at Le Mans was won by the Toyota factory, so who is driving this time at Le Mans for Toyota.

I'm usually just following on the latter part of the race, as that time is when most parts of the car is replaced and the drivers are pushed to their limits. But given that they will introduce LMH classification and this is the first tourney to feature it, it will be exciting to see the engineering behind these cars in action, and their durability to stress and other mechanical factors. Not really following any drivers in particular, but just wanted to see the last straw being drawn on the last few hours before the event's conclusion.

Can't say that I follow it very closely, but yeah, I turn it on to watch. Don't know why exactly, but I mostly like night part of race Cheesy.
As I understand, Toyota again is main favorite to win. They will race in new Hypercar class, which will replace LMP1 class.
For me it's also interesting to follow how former F1 drivers are doing. Plenty of them in Toyota, but there also veterans like Kubica or Montoya in other classes. Also, so forgotten names like Nasr, Van Der Garde, Merhi who were racing in slow teams.
Also, like always, many current Formula E drivers is here. And team with women only, including Sophia Flörsch - I suggest to check it out her Youtube channel, she post lot of interesting stuff.
