Last chance, guys, it's currently at .01 BTC. I'm going to shut this down at 10:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (in about 5 and a half hours as of now), so get your bids in if you want this ad space. Am thinking about using the BTC for an advertising experiment of my own, so traffic could go up...
Hanh...? Oh, you mean Mintpal. Yeah, it was pretty dumb. I forget exactly when it was, but I've recouped my losses since, so it was more of a nuisance than anything.
Did you really loose a "couple of hundredths bitcoin" with a typo?

I'll acknowledge that it is. I think it started out as a branding thing, and if you visit, you'll notice that I have "Food and Recipes" and "Music" categories. I added a series of what somebody called "op-eds" about the freedoms we should have in a civilized society just last month. Just "a blog about nothing in particular," you know?

Bump. And I'm lowering the starting bid to 0.01 BTC. Rest is still the same.
And how about we say that we start bidding at 0.05 BTC with a .01 BTC increment. (And this isn't eBay, so a Buy Now price would partly defeat what I want to do -- partly raise some Bitcoin, and partly see what people would be willing to pay for advertising on my site.)
I put the ending date in the title. 5/31. (I intend to start the ad June 1 if I can.)
Auctions normally have some rules like Starting bid, Min increment, Buy now price and Auction's ending time.Yours doesn't seem to have any.
And of course you want proof of my traffic, so here's a screenshot of my Google Analytics from April 24 through May 24.

1) I typically get slightly more than 1500 unique visitors and 2500 pageviews a month.
2) Those numbers could go up if I can get some moolah to advertise.
3) This ad will be placed in its own above-the-fold widget on the left sidebar. I'll need a link to the 250X250 image (has to be exactly that size or it'll look weird) and a link to where you want it to go.
4) I reserve the right to reject bids if I find out that it's a link to porn or anything illegal in the U.S. And don't try to trick me; I WILL FIND OUT.
So that's basically it.
