Hi to everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone was thinking along the same lines as me. Recently someone dumped 26,000btc which caused panic sell off over the weekend.

Could this be the same 26,000btc that ethereum received via their pre-sale?

Maybe they just decided to cash in.

Wasn't it 31 000 btc?

It was closer to 38,000.

( the dump was, not ethereum)

Yes, and they still have most of them in the address below.

It cannot have been a dump of the btc that ethereum received via their pre-sale.

There goes my theory regarding that then, lol. Not to worry, was just a thought.

Yeah I've checked , so (at the moment) they don't sell anything   or at least only a few thousand of btc  ( that was sent here : https://blockchain.info/it/address/39BaMQCphFXyYAvcoGpeKtnptLJ9v6cdFY ).

Or he wanted to give the impression of and end to the downtrend by buying his own wall. It's only a 0.6% fee and he has caused well over that increase in price.

I think someone had some taxes to pay and waited until the last minute to turn some coin into fiat. That is all.

I got the 26,000btc number from the etheurm thread, that's what made me put 2 and 2 together.

The thing is it didn't cause a panic sell. Bearwhale was handily keeping the prices depressed by keeping the sell wall just out of reach for a while ($320 when we were trading ~310) but as soon as they slapped it in at $300 the buy pressure was constant and it was quite clear the price would jump if all coins were bought.

Personally I just think it was a whale deciding it was time to cash out some of his large holdings, that's all.
