Nigerian pidgin has become a widely spoken English among West African countries and some part of the world at last.As they normally says any Country you visit and you don't come across a Nigerian then that land is barren, Water occupy 70%, Land 28%, Nigerian 2% of the earth. Nigeria has 520 languages but Nigerian pidgin English is the common language, both illiterates and educated ones can communicate fluently using the pidgin. Just few weeks ago Google introduced Nigerian pidgin on the Google Map. The Oxford English Dictionary were not left out they added 29 Nigerian pidgin English making it an official words you can add them in exams or articles now (lol). According to the OED editor "Nigerian have made, and are continuing to make, a unique contribution to English” through these words. The 29 new additions from Nigerian English, “either borrowings from Nigerian languages, or unique Nigerian coinages” that have been used since the 1970s and 1980s.""
