Jah mon. Dope pieces.

I'm giving the silver to my niece and nephew and teaching my sister on how to import a private key for 2 X 2.5BTC for each. This is what this shit is all about!

(1) Understand what scarcity is, respect precious metal and what a hard-capped model is in crypto.
(2) Empowering yourself to circumvent centralised banking.
(3) Be creative and be peaceful!
(3) Educate everyone you can and GIVE not TAKE!

Thanks for inspiring me to make a coin. You're a legit dude.

Just be aware that those silver pieces are special because they have matching vanity prefixes with the gold coins.  I wouldn't suggest letting them get apart from each other for collector reasons.

EDIT:  I also love my dog.  Wink

I engraved the first gold coin today (as well as all other ordered coins with the exception of the 2oz silver w/ gold highlights).  These gold coins have a smaller lip than their silver counterparts.  This leaves a larger area to engrave the public key and also a deeper indention for the hologram.  The end result is a more spacious and clean looking coin.  Smiley

Planning to have the same size lip for future coins?  The result seems better (in my opinion of course)

The only coin that has the wider lip is the original 1oz silver coin.  That is because a different mint was used.  Future coins will continue using the new lip size.

I have everything needed to get these bad boys engraved and shipped out.  Let me procrastinate for a day or two before assembling them all, but it seems very possible that these will begin shipping on Friday!

Wow. Can't blame you. I'd be be petrified even touching that amount of gold, especially the pressure of engraving and the holos, hell I get nervous affixing holos to already redeemed coins just for fun! Tongue

Can I avail one of these goldies at monthly installments?

Kindly let me know so that I can arrange for one.
Of course you can add interest to it.
And shipping will be done once I repay it in full.

How about that?

These coins are sold out and everyone has paid.  I have been playing with the idea of auctioning off a matching set of the #1 sequential coin of each series together.  However, I would expect that to be rather expensive as it would be many coins, most of which are now sold out.  That will be the last chance to purchase one of these outside of the reseller's market.

The last one of these coins has been sold!  Congratulations to all that have decided to participate!

I've paid for the dies and they are currently being produced.  I ask that depositors begin preparing their funds to pay for the gold cost.  I will plan to lock in the gold price in ~10 days (if there are no objections), at which point I will begin accepting gold payments.

A big thanks to everyone who has helped make this happen.  I am going to do my best to make sure you are not disappointed and it makes me extremely happy to be able to have these coins made.

The final designs for these coins have been approved.  The vanity addresses for them, as well as the 1oz gold highlighted coins have been generated.  I will be sending payment for the dies and the stamping fees next week.  This should make it a very quick process once all the BTC is collected.  All that remains is paying for the gold.  I will lock in a gold price and begin collecting final BTC payments as soon as the last 2 deposits are collected.  I will also be asking buyers to have 50 seats transferred to my account during that period if they have not done so already.

I've submitted the initial designs for this coin to the mint to get the process started.  This will allow me to get the dies crafted earlier and significantly cut down on the minting time of these coins.  I decided against changing the back from the 1oz silver coin's design because I didn't think any options looked better and felt it was best if they matched.

However, I do feel like a 2 oz. Gold physical Bitcoin might be a little too ambitious for what I've seen of the physical coin market on here lately. The premium is very high, although I do know that such limited minting runs, design time, hologram cost, precious metal supply, minting fees, assembly, engraving, etc. + NastyFans donation has to be factored in, so I'm not knocking the price.

We will see.  I've been asked to do a gold coin for several years now.  I expect it will take some time for interested parties to get funds together, but I hope to see this project come to fruition.  A 1oz coin wouldn't have allowed enough space to engrave and secure a private key while still maintaining complete visibility of the public key so a 2oz was born.

Might I point out that after Casascius minted his Gold coins, it initially cost $5,000 per coin including BTC. Chaang Noi (Goat) Sold his gold coin for close to $1,000,000.  Shocked

COST: $200 premium over gold spot price (subject to a $1850 per coin reserve), plus shipping, plus you provide the 1000 BTC.  Complete with BTC, this is approximately a $5000 coin.  Shipping is via Registered Mail with insurance.

Looks like the Casascius gold coin was only $200 over gold cost for the coin itself.  That was very reasonable for such a low minted coin.

For another comparison, the Titan 1 BTC Gold was around $450-$500 over spot for the coin only.

Not quite sure that I understand the donation aspect of the coin? If people wanted to donate to the NastyFans project, then surely they can do that on their own without forcing this into part of the sales price. It is already a high end and expensive item, it just looks like you are tacking on fees to gouge your customers

These look badass Og, and a 2 oz .9999 Gold physical Bitcoin would be the first of its kind for sure!

I do wish you luck with your newest NastyFans coin venture and hope to see these beauties minted! It's not very often you see 2 oz Gold coins/rounds, even in the bullion world.

Omg those will be beautiful. If my little kitty didn't destroy the ligaments in his leg and need 3000+ dollar surgery, I would seriously consider buying one. Good luck with your sale, these will be a great additional to some collection.
