600w sounds fine. I've got 4 x 7950s on a 1250, so that sounds reasonable.

U can get 4x7970 if u want, some days ago, i saw this : https://i.imgur.com/ZhfW45U.png

What do u think about run 2 5830 without OC on a Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 600w? It is better and cheaper than one 5870 but the problem its the PSU...

My honest opinion? Only worth it if you don't have to pay for electricity. Otherwise you get BTC faster by using PTC (Paid to click) and Task Sites.

I was mining with 2x 5750, which I stopped completely since I found that using a combination of PTC Sites (Bitvisitor, Coin of Midas) and some Task Sites (Coinworker, Tasks4Dollars, Dollarrewardz) for about 2 Hours generates more BTC than mining at 350 MH/s for 24 hours and I don't have to substract the electricity cost from that.

Yes, i know, i love filehosting remoting (remote upload of files and get $$ per download), but, i mine LTC too with 2 7850, and i have another computer for nothing that have this psu, so if I can put 2 5830 in it would be nice for me.

Thanks guys, I'll test it, if it crash, well, bye bye CM (cheaper psu that i have in a pc that not use)...

They and the PSU should do fine all together. Prob take no more than 350-500w to run them. I'd say the 600w would be safe.

Normally the PSU will be able to feed 2 5830.

One of my rigs consists of 4 HD7790 oc'ed (1200 MHz) GPU's each hashing at 330 - 350 MHash/S. The PSU is a 550 W BeQuiet and the whole system "only" consumes 410 W. The most energy efficiency with modern PSU's are achieved at around 80 - 90 % of it's max capacity.

The maximum board power of a 5830 is 175 W, double that for your two. Than you still have enough space left. Every card can leech 75 W out of the PCI-E slot, so the 12 V PCI-E rails of the PSU will only be charged with 200 W in total... but if you consider 300 MH/s in average for the 5830 with averaging 140 W of power consumption compared to 80 W a HD 7790 would need, imho the most inefficient part of the mining rig, will be the elderly 5830...
