You can't call that 'too expensive' since you buying at MSRP, even I don't want to build any mining rigs for now but at MSRP I might break that promise of mine, GPUs are still expensive right now and this might take another months after months to see GPU at cheap price again if I were in your shoes I would definitely keep those cards and start mining ETH

I managed to get two cards at MSRP, a 3090 FE and a 3080Ti FE.

The question I'm sure everyone wants to know is how did you get your hands on two of these cards at retail price.  I've been trying for seemingly years now and the best I've been able to do is a 3060ti at MSRP.  Would love to get my hands on either of those beautiful monsters mentioned above.  If you could be so kind as to share with the class where and how you managed to get them or retail pricing, I'm sure everyone would be most appreciative.  Thank you.  Smiley

Hello guys !

I managed to get two cards at MSRP, a 3090 FE and a 3080Ti FE.

I was looking at a card not for mining but for gaming, in 4K with every option on. And wanted just one card.

Since getting these cards at the right price is quite difficult, I ended up in this situation with two cards, both are too expensive for my taste even at MSRP, so I'm getting back into the mining game to recoup some of that money.

The 3090FE is going into my gaming rig, getting watercooled, and will mine when I'm not playing.

The question I have is regarding the 3080Ti. It cost 1199€ (French MSRP), do you think it can generate let's say 500€ until the end of the year ?

If not, it's probably better I sell it, it can fetch something like 1600€.

Keep in mind : 3080Ti = LHR

The 3080 Ti although LHR can easily go from the 65-68 Mhsh stock to 82-85 or somewhat more Mhsh and that means that until the end of year it should net you more than 500 Eur,it should make 1000 or somewhat more than 1000 Euro in total for a year.Use T-Rex miner or Lolminer as they have been able to really squash a lot out of the LHR cards. You can do whichever see fit but keep in mind that if the price of the coin you mine rise towards the end of the year it will be better for you.

If you need quick money to recoup your investment as soon as possible then sell the card but that is a beast of a card even at LHR it performs near the same as RTX 3080 non LHR.

If you like mining then don't sell the graphics card. You will get your investment back in a few years if your electricity is not too expensive. If you need money now, then sell while the market still outstrips the sellers.
In a few years, you will earn money on a used video card.
