I have been scammed on Aliexpress more than once, if you are buying from a buyer with 0 feedback then expect to be scammed. that said as long as you stay on top of it and make sure you open a dispute in time and keep following it up, Aliexpress will usually refund your money.

I recently bought a 60GH BFL on Aliexpress and got nothing, I did get a full refund but I had to wait 3 months for the whole process to end.

Good luck though

Hmmm, so they assigned a tracking number. Could be fake. We shall see what comes out of this.

Oh they will send you something but it won't be the miner...that way they will show shipping and delivery when you file the claim and they will ship you a piece of metal, then you have to go thru the claim process. Not something to look forward to. Do not buy from anyone at Aliexpress or Alibaba that does not have some good feedback or else you are asking to heart ache.

My cube order (with the tracking number) just went into "frozen" state. Probably will be cancelled/refunded.

To add to this, I'm also having my friend in china order an antminer via taobao (They won't ship to USA). They are about $1300 USD on the taobao site. Hopefully that one goes through.

Nope, Taobao didn't work out either. I'm pretty confident now that the price for an ant is $2300 - $2800 Smiley

Thanks for confirming. This is sad, but expected.

So, yes, this appears to be all fraud or unreliable sellers. Not the AliExpress store, but the sellers. I have ordered 10 miners a few days ago and today I have received an email from Ali:

Quote
Your Order No:608185xxxx3115 has been closed because the supplier did not provide necessary evidence. The payment will be refunded to you within 7-10 working days.
AliExpress strives to continuously improve our trading environment. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

This is interesting. That price is crazy good, but the trust and payment protection is something I need to research more.

You guys keep talking about ali escrow, but the seller has to offer it and NONE of the asic sellers offer escrow.  Just click on the shipping tab to see pay options.  They do not accept paypal either.

When I looked it said BankTransfer use Ali for that.

I'm going to give it a try aswell I think, you can't beat that price. Does anyone have any bad experiences with the ali escrow?

Ali escrow bank transfer (you have to goto your bank to do it, use ali's form print it and bring to bank) and your bank will have to authorize the payment, double secure.
Only way to lose would be if ali went tits up.

However the seller is in china, so we may see lots of gear get dumped before the new rules have any effect.
(we may see customs seizures in the future) as china tries to govt control the market.
Only machines running will be owned by china govt.

Good price, and those are friedcats boxes, he knows what is up.

Good luck. Let us know if you get it. The site says 6 orders. It's strangely too low. i'd expect to see more orders.

People probably think they won't deliver. Which they probably won't.  The thing is about these devices is they probably only cost $50 to make so the prices have to come down as more factories create knock offs.

Order never shipped and was cancelled by aliexpress. Wrote the seller and they also never responded. They have antminers listed for like $700...definitely fake. It was worth a try though!

Was worried about that, as soon as I decided ali was for real with ali bank transfer being safe, china cut the bitcoin hardware market.
Was hoping all existing orders could be allowed to end of month..
Ali owns that chinese ebay also...

yes, the blocks are nice, but we are saying this site is a scam. i almost ordered 2000$ worth of devices and then started reading this thread and other online and it seems that once you make payment you will never get the hardware.

I am not promoting this offer,
If you pay through alipay escrow it makes no sense for this site to be a scam
Aliexpress is completeley escrowed service, You do not pay the vendor, you pay ALIPAY
If you dont receive the goods, you get a refund from ALIPAY (CITIBANK) in Singapore (nothing to do with the chinese vendor).....

can you give us some examples of ppl ordering and never getting their goods?
I order shit loads of stuff from aliexpress and pay through alipay escrow, up until now the gear has always arrived, sometimes late and recently broken (hydrometers), but thats another story and dealt with by their "dispute" program
if you dont like it, dont go for it, but at least learn how aliexpress operates before spreading fud,

cheers,
kev

These miners look like Avalon gen 1 tech and a little power hungry so may be genuine.

From the pics and specs, they're ASICMiner Block Erupter Cubes, which are ASICMiner's 3rd or 4th iteration of its block erupter lineup.  All use the same chips, BE100.  Same as in the oh-so-prevalent Block Erupter USB sticks that so many folks picked up.

I have some Cubes from when they first came out and mine all work great, though I dislike the fact that they only handle getwork and so must use a proxy with most pools.

Buyer protection on Aliexpress is generally good,
You pay to Alipay (escrow) and they do not release payment to the vendor until you confirm you have received your order and it is as described and not damaged in shipping. If you have an issue on receipt of your goods, simply open a dispute and provide details of your claim.
I have opened 3 disputes over past orders and all have been amicably resolved.

Looks like a scam but sadly so many people have already ordered.
Anyone got experience with the Buyer Protection they offer? Might be worth a shot if they really refund. PayPal would be better but he doesn't accept it.
