I don't think he was referring to you OP but rather COINOGRAPHIC (the coin maker). Not only was he a scammer but a bad one at that considering he seemed to have missed out redeeming some of the coins despite having kept all the private keys).

Was he reported to the FBI?

I reported it to the police in the UK with a big PDF of information about Mark Hamilton who ran the show, with evidence of him misappropriating funds people paid for pre-orders (he bought LTC GEAR shares hoping to make a profit - but that was also a scam and he lost all the money)

Here he is: http://www.gazetteseries.co.uk/news/13592798.Couple_take_on_task_of_running_first_pub_in_Thornbury/

He had the funds to setup the pub after scamming us all, but I made a few calls and soon after he stopped running the pub and disappeared.

No asking price, just looking for a fair offer.

I understand. Unfortunately, I don't know what they're worth. Maybe I'll do some research on it this weekend. Thanks for the quick reply. Smiley

All Coinographic coins should be treated as unloaded.  Even though it's loaded as others suggested either peel it and destroy the collector value or sell it as unfunded.

I'm positive no one in their right mind will pay for the funding value knowing it's very possible to be compromised in the near future.

That's just over $1000 at today's trading price.
If I were you I'd peel it and redeem it ASAP. If COINOGRAPHIC notices/sees this post then they'll redeem it for you. The coins are as good as compromised anyway so you don't have much to lose. I doubt anyone would be willing to pay face value for the coin as it is...

How much are you looking for per coin?
I'm very interested in buying one (delivered in the U.K.).
I paid for one but never received it as that was around about when he started his scam.

Thankyou! Is there a list of such coin manufacturers that have done this? Especially for people like me that were not aware or are not aware? If not, maybe someone should!

Please someone start a thread with a grading system for all of the physical crypto makers!!
Could use something similar to this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-bitcointalks-escrow-providers-ranking-blacklist-avoid-scam-276897

I would very much like to see this done well.  Coin makers should provide the tools necessary for the community to monitor for suspicious activity.  For example, I'd like to see other manufacturers provide things like public address lists, total exposure to other people's BTC, ability to publicly claim ownership of a specific coin, length of time in operation, trust rating, etc...  I think it would be eye opening how many coin makers fail to provide any sort of backend or infrastructure to support their products.

Were these coins redeemed by the original designer? In other words stolen.
