Yeah the new server is up. The DNS will just take awhile to update. If you are in a hurry you can try flushing your DNS or put 174.121.74.59 in your hosts file

Looks like ns1.theplanet.com/ns2.theplanet.com randomly reply sometimes with the right ip, and sometimes with the wrong ip. This is really troublesome.

Ha, now it's reversed: mtgox.com works and www.mtgox.com doesn't work.

You need to explicitly add the www.mtgox.com name to your hosts file. It doesn't work recursively.

Ha, now it's reversed: mtgox.com works and www.mtgox.com doesn't work.

Looks like some really weird DNS funny-business going on:

Code:
error@underground ~ $ host -t a www.mtgox.com
www.mtgox.com has address 74.52.143.58
www.mtgox.com has address 174.121.74.59
error@underground ~ $ host -t a mtgox.com
mtgox.com has address 174.121.74.59
mtgox.com has address 74.52.143.58

All is well for me now. The LRUSD withdrawal completed and is now in my LR account. And BTC withdrawal works fine.

I'll remove the entry from my hosts file in a day when I'm sure all DNS servers have updated.

If you're using windows, just add to your c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts   EDIT: I use Win XP. The path might be different in newer versions.
174.121.74.59   mtgox.com

It should solve all access problems right away. If not, restart your web browser to clear its possible DNS cache.

No need to mess with manually adding www to every url, if you use the hosts file to point to the new server.

BTC withdrawal works now for me. LR withdrawal is still stuck in limbo though.

just chuck some www's on the front of that puppy and you wont have to bother with flushing.
I typed www.mtgox.com but still came the '403 forbidden', was I going the right way you said?

I flushed the DNS cache but it seems no different, is there a way for me to log in the website by using IP address? Or rather, what's the IP address of the new server?

Thanks~

Yeah the new server is up. The DNS will just take awhile to update. If you are in a hurry you can try flushing your DNS or put 174.121.74.59 in your hosts file

You should reduce your DNS TTL from 24h to just a few minutes.

It's down for everyone.  mtgox announced on #bitcoin-otc: "We are moving the mtgox server to a new host. Should be back up soon"
