Is it your power that doesn't bring up so many mines?

I think it's possible.

I bet he’s using an older gen desktop (not mining) based motherboard. In which case nothing you do will work. I had this same problem.

Upgrade to a z270/h270 based board if you want to run 6+ GPUs. It’s your best bet.

5 GPU in what PSU power suply? all gpu its the same?
u can try first with the 5, see on the management devices how many are found and if there its some devide still unknow there, if there is then the 5° card its there, u can try to update that and see if runs,

is dont try to use some software to uninstall all gpu and nvidia or amd card, restart pc, and instal the amd, nvidia software from zero, and see if find the cards

that is alot things that can be, but the problem can be found, just need to post more informations about that so we can try help u

I got a 5 gpu mining rig working but when I try to add one more the computer didn't boot.

What cards type you are using? How about PSUs wattage? Have you tried to check Risers, may be loose in its socket? A lot of question may be asked to you OP, except you give us more information related to your problems.

Something to do with electricity or cabling.
Change riser.Remove one of those old GPUs and install the latest one to that slot.That way you will see if this new GPU is even working.
