Modern Day ICO Marketing

You might have the best Technical Team out there or you may have the best concept that could disrupt industries out there but there is a high chance that you wont even be able to hit your soft cap if you don't do proper ICO marketing for your project. On the other hand, you may have the crappiest project in the world but if your ICO marketing is very good, your hardcap will be hit in 30 seconds. This is the beauty of ICO marketing and if handles well, it can drive your project to success.

Modern day ICO marketing is very different to what it used to be 1-2 years back. For example gone are the days where you can airdrop a few coins/tokens and everybody talks about it. Further, there is a good chance that airdrop hunters may actually purchase coins/tokens after the airdrop. But it has completely changed now. ICO owners now believe that airdrop hunters are nothing but crap. You may have 50,000 to 75,000 airdrop hunters in your group but how effective they are and how it will help the ICO owners benefit from it, is highly questionable.

Therefore new ways have emerged over the past few months to market your ICOs. There being several scam ICOs, maintaining the trust and reliability is one of the key ways of marketing your ICO well. Below are 5 of the most trending methods which we believe are essential in being heard in the crypto jungle.

1. Lot of Facetime on social media - This talks to the psyche that people want to see real people behind the projects. They want to see the project team being busy. They want to see them being occupied tirelessly to drive the project goals. They want to see the office premises they work at. Simply they want real people behind the projects they invest. Therefore lots and lots of real photos and live sharing are very attractive to investors.

2. Live AMAs - Live AMAs are very very useful. Usually this is done with the help of big youtube groups but if you're pressed for budget, you can do your own youtube webinar and promote it through your bounty program or social media. The AMAs can be coupled with a small giveway for increased traction. This is a very good opportunity to clarify himself to the potential investor base. The investors will also be very keen to get in touch with CEO himself and trash out any clarifications.

3. Attending pitches - Conferences are good but attending pitches are better. And if you get selected to the final round for voting, that is the best. Attending such events and competing not only increase your project awareness but also these events are full of contacts and you never know if you're lucky there will be whales to buy your entire token sale out.  Smiley

4. Solid bounty program - The more organised the bounty is, the better the project image will be. I have seen instances where the bounty managers are very rude on bounty hunters all because they do not get engaged with the project team. For them its just another project that they need to pass by. This lead the community to be disheartened and often bad mouthing the project. However, if you can have access to a good bounty manager who is willing act as if they are a part of the project team, he can actually create the positive vibe needed in the community.

5. Partnerships
- Partnerships are a great way marketing and/or cross promotion. If the partnership is with a reputed organisation, the news is going to be so huge that naturally investors get all hyped up. On the otherhand, if you dont have that luxury, you can still partner with a fellow startup ICO for any related engagements and you can actually cross market each other. For example assuming your project is on e-commerce, then you may look to partner with a KYC offering product.

The points I mentioned above are in my opinion are the 5 best ways of being heard in the modern day. These are so effective that when you really look at it, not much budget is actually required to execute.
