So, I was researching some of the "rules" that consumers should know when spending money in stores, over the internet...

Rule 1 - Before signing any document (bill, contract, shelf), read carefully everything that is written (especially in small letters), and if you do not understand something, first look for the explanations you need.

Rule 2 - When you buy a product, review and try it well. Subsequent complaints should be submitted to the merchant in writing. Remember to keep a copy of your complaint.

Rule 3 - Always take a bill for a purchased product or service and check that the bill is correct (date, subject of purchase, amount, and confirmation that the bill has been paid). Save the invoice and other documents the merchant (instruction manual, warranty card) is required to give you along with the product or service sold.

Rule 4 - When negotiating / contracting a service, do not pay the entire amount in advance. Pay only the down payment as this will allow you to more easily resolve the dispute if the service is not (quality) done.

Rule 5 - Consumers' complaints can only be resolved if they are submitted in writing by the consumer, describing the events and the subject of the complaint, and if they include a copy of the invoice and other necessary documents with the letter of delivery.
