not for now because gwei is very high so the chances of you failing will send very high and even if it works I think it will take a long time, you can wait for gwei to drop instead of having to force send now and have a high risk of failing.

The lowest average of Gwei transaction that might work is 100. For sure that 50 Gwei maybe will be stuck and you'll wait for long, it could be a month. You better add ethereum so that you can transfer your funds.

Does anyone think a 50 gwei ETH fee transaction might work?

I'm not having enough in the wallet and thinking if the transaction will go through or will it get stuck.
It is such a bad period that 50 gwei is considered rejectable, and the average is at around 100 gwei right now, back in the day we handled this with under 10 gwei very easily, 3-5 gwei was more than enough to pass anything we want, sure it was bad times for miners but for people who traded or who used anything really, would have been perfectly using it for very cheap.

In any case we are at least doing better with the development right now, in just 4 months or so we are going to have eip 1559 which will drop these 100+ gwei prices down, that will help us drop it back to under 10 gwei again eventually, and when we reach to eth 2.0 that is going to make it nearly free as well, still a bit paid but not much. Unfortunately for now, if anyone uses 50 gwei that will result with rejection because miners are greedier than ever and people are paying 100+ like an idiot.

P.S: If the transaction is rejected or stuck will you lose all the gas amount you paid for fees?
It happened to me at Uniswap platform when I tried to exchange a token for ethereum. The transaction was taking some time, it didn't complete, so it was cancelled and I lost my money paid on fees.
However I don't know if you will lose your money if you are just sending a token from an address to another.

Another forum users could clarify this situation below.

These website provides you the fast and slow fees for transaction in real time. Changes as the block happens. The slow limit is generally the minimum you could transact it. It's been over a month that the average transaction fees is over 100 Gwei.

People will be wasting their money if they were broadcasting a new tx with a small amount of gas. The worst decision that ever made.

I think you're correct it'll be a waste if I try to send a transaction with lower fees, there's a chance of getting it rejected.
P.S: If the transaction is rejected or stuck will you lose all the gas amount you paid for fees?

The adjustment is in the side of the investors and traders, gas fees are very huge until now and if you are not hurrying
keeping your assets and wait till the transaction fees to  decrease is much better option.

I think that's the best thing to do!, I'm also thinking about switching to Binance chain and giving up ETH chain.
The thing is I've 2 addresses on MEW and on Binance Chain (BNB).

BNB tx costs around 0.2 - 0.3$/tx. Where as ETH tx costs around 3-10$ on around 100-190 Gwei.
Pff i wish there was an option on ETH to select multiple Tokens and send.

Thank you everyone for the info.

It's better if you are waiting until the gas fees will go down

Best to do if you are not rushing, else, adds up before you proceed as the amount of gas fee that you currently have will only stuck you up. A waste of your time as it won't proceed.

For successful transaction we should use average or recommend gwei.
This is the main point. It's better he was seeing these suggestions and he will not waste his money on the network.
The gwei can change anytime and when someone was sending a transaction with very small gwei and it will never be confirmed by the block unless the market is starting to face the stabilization that will make a big decrease on the ethereum fees.

The fact that there are many DEFI as well as GAS WAR projects in participating in IDO makes ETH's price increase rapidly and remain stable from above 70Gwei. I have been following the GAS price of ETH so I can send my meager amount of tokens, but they cost between 7-20 $ and possibly higher when I want to send them to decentralized exchanges.
I think this year it will be less likely that Gwei will drop below 50.

Dont even bother sending a transaction below 80 gwei. You will simply burn gas and waste time.
According to https://ycharts.com/indicators/ethereum_average_gas_price, last time it was able to make a transaction with below 50 gwei was middle of December.

Just get to used to, that only rich use Ethereum Cheesy

Does anyone think a 50 gwei ETH fee transaction might work?

I'm not having enough in the wallet and thinking if the transaction will go through or will it get stuck.
i am facing the same problem, need to sell token but don't have enough eth in wallet. i am sure that 50gwei will frustate you for hours. if you want to buy eth from exchange only for moving/doing one transaction, make sure you buy 2x of the needed gas fee. first for the withdrawal fee from exchange, and second for your token transfer.
I had a similar hectic time while transferring a token from myetherwallet the amount of transaction fee was too much despite that the transaction wasn't successful after several attempt and wasting much ETH in terms of gwei I had to switched over to MyCrypto app before having a breakthrough, your suggestion is quite helpful just by having enough gas in the wallet will aid the transaction to be swift without any hassle. the issue of high transaction gas need to sorted out by eth network else there is likely a diversion to BSC network.

It will not work and the network will reject your transaction and your fees will be disappearing. It's better to send the transaction with the recommended fees and you will not need to send it again when it fails.

50 gwei will be rejected automatically as it is too low. Minimum GWEI is now 100 or above. If you don't have enough funds in your wallet, you have to fill up your wallet first then try to send transaction with enough gwei otherwise your transaction will be rejected everytime you want to make. It's better to wait for low transaction gwei time or pay full gwei to successfully making transaction.

Yes it is but it's about luck, Some Pool like Ethermine accept 1 Lowest gas price but it's only small chance. 60-65 Maybe work if you wait till UTC Midnight, Yesterday it's stable around for 60-70 gwei which is good, You can check here for average lowest gas price here https://ethgasstation.info/ and more exact gas you can also check here; https://etherscan.io/gastracker

According to Etherscan, the average fee right now is 108 Gwei.

https://etherscan.io/gastracker

A fee of around 100 Gwei can get you a confirmation in 10 minutes or so. If you want to pay a fee which is much lower than this, then the best idea may be to wait for some time, until the fee level gets lower. Because if you go ahead with your payment with such a low fee, then in all probability it may get rejected. It is really congested right now, with Uniswap transactions taking a lot of space.

It will still be pushed but you must expect that it won't get an immediate confirmation. I'm checking coinmarketcap as it also shows how much gwei you should pay. And the current suggestion and recommendation they have is 98 gwei which is under the suggestion of ethgasstation that tells the standard is 104 gwei.

If you're unlucky, just like the other transactions that have been posted which were delayed. That's likely going to happen if the gwei you'll pay is that low.

But if you're in a hurry, as long as the suggested gwei isn't more than the amount you're going to send, I think it's justifiable just to avoid the delaying problem.

Considering how high gwei is right now, I did categorically tell you that you risk having your transaction stuck for a very long hours before you get a confirmation, and this is if you are lucky, if you are not lucky, you might end up getting a failed transaction meanwhile the fees for that transaction will still be removed from your account which leaves you with a failed transaction and loss of eth in transaction fees, I suggest that if you have some more eth, consider upping the gwei a bit.

When you are using half the amount as gas fee then recommend then you will eventually stuck for weeks or months and you will be forced to pay more high fee to transact your funds successfully after frustrated weeks or months so use enough gas or just wait for the congestion to be cleared.

Shouldn't take the risk, the gas price is really volatile, you think it's 100 gwei per gas for the current blockchain but the next blockchain could have 200 gwei per gas. 50 gas? too risky and have a huge chance of making your transaction failed even worse if you're sending tokens. Better just wait or try to gather some more eth for the fee.

Since everyone does not answer a straight question.

NO! you can get stuck could be a few days or even more, than weeks just add another gwei again for right now maybe 120 GWEI at this post made was enough. If you send 50 GWEI stuck and you want to get fast then you need to cancel the TX or add more fee and that cost more FEE to do that.

Better spend a few more instance your TX stuck and you cost more money to speed up.

You can as the slow gas price is 80 to 90 Gwei from Gas Now and Gas Tracker.
https://www.gasnow.org/
https://etherscan.io/gastracker

Can you accept it? If you choose 50 Gwei, your transaction can be confirmed in about 1 hour but it can be dropped. You can cancel your transaction or replace it with higher fee. Your initial low gas price transaction will be charged with fee, not free.

If a few minutes after you broadcast your transaction, the loading bar is moving up fastly, your transaction will more likely be confirmed. Loading bar on etherscan.io with your tx.

depend on what you want to do?
if you want to send Ether from one wallet to another, it could work, since there is no time limit for transaction

but, if you want to do trade on Uniswap, for example, it will not work, since there is a time gap for transaction on Uniswap to be confirmed (due to changes in value ration for tokens involved), and if the change is more than indicated in the trade, your trade will certainly fail (with 50 gwei that is certain to happen)

I think it depends on the network status if the Network is not congested 50 Gwei transaction might work. Because it will not be rejected instantly but just remain pending and if the gas (Gwei) will reduce your 50 (Gwei) transaction might be picked but it takes a long period or even days of waiting. But to be sure compare your gas (Gwei) on https://etherscan.io/gastracker I made it at 53 (Gwei) and it takes more than 7 hours before it was confirmed.

Check here https://etherscan.io/gastracker
with the lowest fee 81 Gwei takes 1 hour more so with 50 Gwei your transaction will take longer or maybe rejected, my advice is better to add ETH in your wallet if this transaction requires fast confirmation or you can wait for fees to drop, but no one knows when will happen.

Nah, at this point, the higher the gwei the better for your transaction to be confirmed quicker.

And obviously it will be stuck for days and you will be frustrated, so it's better to put enough ethereum on your wallet as gwei. Best of luck.
