I think this is an amazing development for crypto/bitcoin adoption - all the places that accept BTC are a great showcase of overall worldwide adoption of BTC. My one complaint is that the map is in Spanish and that some cities are shown/labeled in that language, which is very confusing. Hopefully, this is easily fixable because I am sure most people would prefer an English map.

Thank you for doing things correctly, and making it open source. I really like the design of the app, and it has a very relaxing feel.

Very happy about this change and bitcoin began to get a special place in various countries.
I think this is a fast development, can't wait to see everyone waiting in line to get coffee without carrying fiat.

This is awesome stuff!  I love these kind of developments for BTC.
Its great that you support all the bitcoins because they should set the standard.

I agree with you when you say that "Roger Ver is not BCH" (and I don't think he wants to be) but I don't agree with you when you say that he is "damaging the reputation".  From what I have read he has always championed bitcoin and still does.

The facts remain that BCH is a better means of commercial exchange than BTC will be unless BTC changes its design. The Bitcoin.com wallet supports both BTC and BCH because I am sure they recognise that users of BTC can always convert to BCH (right from the wallet) for quick, cheap transactions.

With these POS units available, maybe bitcoin can enjoy a wider and more stable usage, which in turn may effect stabilisation of price (which is a huge concern for many under-informed merchants).

Hey friends of unfakeable and permissionless money!

We would like to inform you, that on our Website: http://bitcoinmap.cash you can find 500+ Restaurants, Supermarkets, Bars, Shops and Hotels accepting BTC!

100+ of them are using the POS of ANYPAY which supports BTC

150+ of them are using the POS of ELIPAY which supports BTC

The remaining 250 also mostly support BTC payments and have a wallet ready to receive your bitcoins!

Actually I have not met any merchant yet that would not accept BTC, but I do not want to make you any promises, because depending on the tx fee that might happen...

Just today I on-boarded a new merchant here in Caracas, Venezuela and then just 30 minutes later someone appeared and paid with BTC!

He paid $11 for his food with a tx fee of $1,44 using the Coinomi wallet, he said he likes to use BTC because he has no trust at all in Roger Ver and believes that BCH is highly centralized...

Enjoy the website and go spend some BTC at these merchants!! Most of them keep their BTC!!

We also have 2 Android Apps and an upcoming IPhone release which promote all these places:

Our app Coinector is focused on beautiful images of places close to your and the listings are sorted by categories.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cash.bitcoinmap.coinector

Our app Bitcoin Map is focused on the map feature, Coinector also has a map, but not that beautiful...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=club.therealbitcoin.bchmap

All our software is open source, as we would like to offer anyone to improve on that software if they would like to add any kind of feature or release something similar.

I wish all the best to the BTC community and I hope we can overcome the ever lasting conflicts between the BCH and BTC camp...

We support all the bitcoins! Because we respect the work that was done by the BTC team, without that, BCH would not exist...

Roger Ver is not BCH and I wish he would step back from the media, he is damaging the reputation enormously...

I love that dark themed.Try to search out something on my country and this shows BCH accepting Bakeshop?
But having a BTC logo.

I found another restaurant that accepts ANYPAY but there's a BTC logo next to it too. Maybe it's just their standard to show if a restaurant accepts a cryptocurrency.
Maybe he do tend that BTC symbol as a whole image of any crypto coins out there but for me it isnt really that appropriate.

Weird, the website itself is in English, while the map seems to be in Spanish(?).
I don't think your data is entirely correct either, it doesn't show any shops in Belgium, while I know for sure there are at least a couple that accept Bitcoin.
Yeah, primary thing that i had observed on my first surf on the site where language is on spanish and also shops listed isnt really that accurate even on my place too.

Are you referring to this payment processor? ---> https://anypay.net/

Yeah, should be it. I can't click the details on the map but searching ANYPAY gives you that link.

The problem with payment processors are that they are adding extra cost to Bitcoin transactions and also extra problems. In normal 1 to 1 payments between people, you do not have to deal with 3rd party intermediaries, you just deal with the other person or merchant that you did this transaction with, but when something goes wrong with a 3rd party, then you add more complexity to the problem.  Roll Eyes

The advantage of using them is the instant transaction confirmation for the merchant and customer and no losses due to the volatility in the price.  Wink

I guess that's out of topic for this thread? The OP only lists the restaurants and what kind of payment they accepted. If they use ANYPAY and not Bitcoin then the OP website can't do anything about it (except probably change the logo).

Seems like not all of your website is in English. Tried to zoom out and it gives me a pop-up that I believe told me to use CTRL in order to zoom in/out if it were in the English language.

Did you check out your competitors? https://bitcoinwide.com/ Wink

I like you've taken the open-source road. If I had to fork your project, I'd certainly add a search bar to search for shops either by location or items. Also, the map looks pixelated on my screen. Use 60+ fps if available for zoom-in map displays.
