I called the preset "OC" - and thats the only file in the \preset\ folder..

Overdrive is always enabled, quess i must go on searching for answers Cheesy - at least it helped a bit on the temperature, with lower mem speeds, without doing anything bad to my performance..

You're either editing the wrong file (it should have the same name as the preset you created) or you didn't have overdrive enabled when creating it.

Inside the presets .xml file, there is nothing resembling to memoryclock or any overclocking features..

I have downloaded the beta of msi afterburner, i can set memory speeds to 600mhz in that, which lowered my temp by about 4C..

But would love for it to go lower, just cant figure out how i set this darn thing :b

You need to save a new CCC profile.
Then you navigate to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Profiles\ and edit the file ProfileName.xml
You will see something like this:
Code:

Change each value to desired MHz*100 (30000 for 300 MHz). The 3 values are different clock targets depending on load, so changing just the 3rd one should work too, but I'm not sure if it can be lower than the other 2, so I change all of them to be sure Wink
Then just save the file and apply your profile in CCC. The minimum clock should now be 300 and you can move the slider down.
Note: If you're not on windows 7/vista, the profile will be in a different location.

Hi!

I keep reading about people that have their memory downclocked to 3xx mhz..

How is that possible? I have tried nearly anything, from rivatuner, CCC, msi afterburner and i cant set my memory speeds lower than the stock 1200mhz?

Can someone point me in the direction, to a guide or some program, that will solve this?

Im running CCC 11.4 as of now, might that be the problem?
