+1 @ What Dargo mentioned.

From my understanding the cards have discontinued in some shape or form after looking for the last 2-3 days,at least that is what Newegg says anyway especially for the better and more efficient 5850's.Therefore,don't expect too many cards to be around but the 6xxx series.I think it is actually a bad time to buy any videocard right now and have decided to wait for the 7000 series to build a more serious mining machine if they meet the next OpenCl 1.2 format.

Got some 5850's only a few weeks ago. About USD 150 equivalent, but yes, I'm outside the states.

Occasionally they pop up, but you have to act very fast since they are usually snapped up quickly (sometimes in a matter of minutes). Some people have reported getting pretty good prices on Ebay, but for this you have to be patient with the auctions - the "buy it now" prices are usually pretty high. BTW good prices for these cards are roughly 5830 ($110), 5850 ($160), 5870 ($200), 5970 ($400). It is probably better to just get some 6950s rather than wait for that elusive sale for these cards.

Wow, I just bought some 5830s from Newegg last week and was going to buy some more within the next couple of weeks.

Good question, where do you get these cards now?

Does anyone know where any of these models can be purchased now?  Newegg had the 5830 for $130 but now those are gone, any place to get these where you won't get absolutely taken on the price?
