Wortwhile? No.

Laptops are not designed to operate on 100% load for several days (and mining is 24/7 so we are talking several weeks here). Mining will only damage the laptop.

Yeah, I tried mining on a GT230, and the only way to keep my laptop from melting was to crank up the A/C unit in the window behind it and make a cardboard duct to force the cold airflow down on it, and put a fan on the desk pointing at the hot spot. And that's a laptop already sitting on a really good stand/cooler...

Laptops are not good for 24/7 100% load... and you want to O/C on top of that. Don't do it.

I wouldn't suggest mining with an overclocked card in a laptop - surely you'll be pushing some pretty high temperatures?

This! I had a similar problem, solved by installing the SDK.

According to the wiki, 5870Ms get around 150-190 Mh/s, which at the current difficulty is around 0.07/day.
Looks like electricity would cost more then.

Also, does anyone know how to get OpenCl set up? GPU miners don't recognize it.

Would a 5850M overclocked to 5870M levels be worthwhile in mining bitcoins?
