much appreciated Smiley if I could find a thank you button...
wish I could find a local retailer that sells this stuff in Toronto.

If you are using 2 PSU's then you will need that multi-PSU Adaptor.  What it does is detect when the first one is turned on and then it switches on the second power supply.  Without it, the second power supply will not turn on when you turn on your computer.

Forget about the PCI slot, and use one of the SIX video cards for the monitor.  (It won't affect your mining)

and yes, you'll need PCI riser cables, try and get powered ones if you can, as video cards still draw some power from the PCI-E slot even though they have additional power connections.  With out it, operation can be unpredictable.

Everything else you are wondering is covered here:

I have that motherboard, but I've never run more than 3 GPUs on it. Let me know what you find out!

hi all, looking for some tips on pci risers\extenders, appreciate any help !!
I'm building a 6 gpu beast, running the Gigabyte 990fx. Hoping the sales tech was correct in offering this board for 6 GPU's !

It has:
2 x PCI Express x16 slots,  x16
1 x PCI Express x16 slot,  x8
2 x PCI Express x16 slots, x4
1 x PCI Express x1 slot
1 x PCI slot

I'm assuming I need to convert the 1 PCIEX x1 slot with a extender or riser cable, and 5 additional risers for PCIEX x16.
can I put a 7th video card for the monitor itself?

I opted for 2 PSU's at 800w each, do I need to use a Multiple PSU Adapter? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009P98Q8U/ref=as_li_ss_til?tag=onsimobicomps-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B009P98Q8U&adid=0W8RWNDS8NWMRVZ5EEPR?

thx!
