0.3 seconds? No, it's more like 0.3 milliseconds.

yea I heard about this.  People making large sums of money so they can get there trades in faster then everyone else.  Sounds like some unfair advantages to me...
do you have a source for that? would really like to read about it or watch a documentary of some sort.

Good traders can make money knowing the market is "rigged".
"Insider trading" should be legal....Let the buyer beware.

This isnt something new, I saw a "documentary" on this. But I cant dig it up..

Exactly, since computer trading started they've always been a step ahead by having a closer and/or faster data connection to give them a fraction of a second (or more) advantage.

wow after decades of forex traders trying to get their systems as close as they can to the main trading exchange hubs. you have just realized that there is a small mircosecond advantage of speed.

this is why using trade bots and 3rd party platforms are not as desired compared to trading directly on the exchange because these bots/trade site companies are using relaying info.

EG zeroblock is one step away from trading direct with the exchange. so expect your orders to show after traders directly on exchanges

Summation:  Some exchanges perform hyper-transactions based on better fiber runs.  Requested customer trades get to these exchanges .3 seconds faster and allow them to react accordingly.  Pulling back the curtain a little bit at a time.
