Seeing as the entire bitcoin forum was re-allocated for a few hours today, and these are the geniuses building the thing... um no I am not putting anything online until I know a whole lot more than I do now. But I will check them out all the same, thanks.

It is downloading the blockchain,
The last transactions it downloaded are from 65 weeks ago , and depending on your internet speed you'll be fine in 24 hours the worst case.

Thanks all. How big is the blockchain? FAQ didn't say (obviously it changes)

New myself so pinch of salt
Think it means all the transactions that have ever taken place, they need to be on record in every btc client

So I am downloading my bitcoin wallet and installing says 65 weeks behind and it has been like an hour.

1- is this normal?

2- 65 weeks behind what, and what is it doing?
