I could ask for 1 BTC, say I will pay 10% interest, and then just disappear off these forums, and run away with my ~650$. There really is no guarantee that it will be paid back.

The interesting part of it is that he actually contacted some people at the Bitcoin Foundation (the one we love to hate) and asked them for their support. Sometimes you have to got to bed with the devil to get your money back I guess

Not if you have 8k BTC. Its all relative, if you send half of your money by mistake, even if it is a small amount it would still kill you.

Sadly most people that come here asking for a loan are either scammers or clueless people looking for free money for their high risk ventures.
