6Block also published our “community version” optimized mining software for free to the community, hoping to bring more fresh blood to the Filecoin community.
The “Community Edition” mining software has the following characteristics:

After the initial start-up, all subsequent operations are automated without manual intervention.

The sealing is completely completed by the worker. There is no network transmission except the final sealed sector (about 33 GB) back to the miner.
It can automatically find idle workers and start packaging operations.
After the program exits, it can be resumed after starting again. If there is a situation that cannot be recovered, you can file an issue.
Based on the recommended configuration, it is possible to run two sectors in a single machine in parallel, with a daily output of more than 200 GB.
Automatically set the FIL_PROOFS_MAXIMIZE_CACHING environment variable.
By default, LOTUS_STORAGE_PATH is not used to store files and separate directories.
According to tests, the packaging efficiency of this version is more than 70% higher than the official software.

Happy mining!

Hi guys, we at 6Block have launched a podcast https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDPDdczcoVNNM-vWFxNT-9w.
So far we have shared our Filecoin mining hardware specs there, and some of our core devs have discussed topics like:

What kind of results do you see for testnet phase II so far?
For you, what is the most exciting part of building this Filecoin miner?
Have you been testing RAM speed, and what are you finding?
If miners are stocking up on generic hardware (CPU, GPU, disk), are they going to be okay?
I hear much talk about block rewards for Proof of Spacetime and Proof of Replication but nothing about retrieval mining. Is it possible for you guys to make a miner for retrieval?
What is the whole thing with “clusters” in your miner, and how does that help with scaling?
Do you think your miner can do sealing faster than the official miner?

A lot of you might be interested. Check out the podcast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCNF-I4rVag&t=222sor read the transcripts here.https://medium.com/6block/6block-podcast-ii-core-developer-howie-yang-on-filecoin-mining-dfc5b5bccbb2

Hi, by equipment you mean HNS ASIC miners or Filecoin mining solutions?
For HNS ASIC miners, the first batch is estimated to be shipped in mid June. And we will also do miner review with trusted third party. I understand your skepticism, but the company is not open for public visit, please wait for the review.
For Filecoin mining solutions, you can put together your own hardware and we have shared our own in a livestream this morning. We will provide optimized mining software solutions and hosted mining services. You can contact Email: [email protected] to know more details.
Here is our recent podcast about Filecoin mining, have a look if interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmEDtdce5T4&t=24s

About 6Block

6Block.com focuses on unicorn projects in the cryptocurrency space. We provide
services including pool mining, customized mining software, mining systems
hardware, wallets, and more.

Our 6Block Pool provides a safe and stable platform, is the first ever mining
pool supporting HNS, and will support Filecoin very soon.

We're experienced in developing mining hardware. We developed the first HNS
ASIC mining machine, which is a hot seller in the market.

We provide customized Filecoin mining software, which is 50% faster than the
official version, and the optimization continues.

Introduction to Filecoin Mining

Gain storage power by computation
Keep storage power on-line to get mining rewards
Block rewards for a miners are in proportion to their
storage power compared to the total storage power
provided by all miners
Storage scales up over time
Computation can be adjusted for FIL price

Mining at mainnet launch: When the network launches, its total storage power will be low. Miners
should put most of their resources to computation to build storage power while there is little
demand for storage resources.

Dual Clustering -

Computation Cluster + Storage Cluster
One-stop Mining Service Solution Provider
Adjust Computation Resources Easily
When the price of FIL goes up, miners can scale up computation cluster to increase mining earnings.
When the price of FIL goes down, miners could reduce the scale of computation cluster to control cost.

Adjust Storage Resources Easily
The storage power will be low at the beginning. Miners won't need large storage resources.
As the storage power increases, the storage cluster could be scaled up gradually to increase returns.
