So the OP is following the usual trend, but that trend is still wrong. Usual trend was, there are more apperances of temporary pump on weekends until monday night than a dip. It isnt a reliable guide in investing though, since Bitcoin is a very volatile crypto currency and no one could ever predict the value tomorrow.

I think Bitcoin is heading for the usual Sunday night drop.  I'd say 7k was not unlikely in say 12 hours or so time.  Not maybe low 7k but 7k.  And the volume looks very low.
Your prediction is way out of line. The price has been heading upwards for a month now so it is impossible that it will drop to that 7k price without major countries banning the use of bitcoin in the last few hrs left in the month of April. True enough the price remain at 9k plus in contradiction to your 7k speculation.

I have come back on to say that yes I was wrong.  I did think there would be a fall as the volume was low and the price did seem to be struggling to stay above around 9k.  So from here who knows.  I would not risk money at this time because it's so unpredictable.

OP is at least publicly admitted that he had made a mistake,I think it's a rarity on this forum and something to be appreciated.I also think that he is learned something from this(I hope he did),predict the price of BTC is very difficult or almost impossible.

Actually if you look at several pages in Speculation board, there is too many threads like this with more bombastic titles then this one-it seems that people like to give their imagination complete freedom in this board(unfortunately and in other parts of the forum).

This is another FUD I don't think the price will drop fast this coming Sunday.
A FUD and it's about yesterday (Sunday) and his prediction failed of telling that it will be down to $7,000 so it's already a failure to meet his prediction.

even the volume is low it doesn't mean that the price will fall and I see the price right now is very stable around $9k.
Don't believe him that the volume is low.

Bitcoin has the highest volume.

8 billion dollars is low volume for 24 hours?

bitcointalk is in serious need of a new Newbie Jail again to eliminate all these random newbie guesses that they try to pass as "speculation" just because they wish to see a lower price so that they can fix the mistakes they have made back when they themselves listened to a random guess made by a newbie trying to fulfill their own wish!
Haha It took my breath. Even if they are jailed more Will appear to extend their new philosophical thinking without any good reason. Something that we must note that it is basically fantasizing about the price. Well they are just dreaming and there are no restrictions over dreams.  Grin
Unfortunately, it is a mistake they will never get to fix as most of the time, they will still end up missing the dip even when it comes anyway, and really, like pursuer said, that jail is really necessary as sometimes, it gets appalling when you just see people creating newbie accounts just for the sole purpose of spreading FUD. Something we will never just stop seeing! I am sure he must be somewhere hiding since his doomsday theory did not end up as he proclaimed. Good riddance!

The possibility could happen the price will reach $10k since more people keep investing into bitcoin and there are many news about bitcoin unless if there is a big FUD spreading in the news that can push people to panic sell their holdings.

I don't think everyone should believe me.  Anymore than people who bought at 20k and believed the only way was up.     .  I think it will drop because of trends and the trend is downwards I'd say but I might be wrong of course.

Well obviously you were wrong.

And the trend that past month has not been downwards. The trend now is upwards.

There is no reason whatsoever to think it'll drop to $7k. Last week we got the expected correction from $9000s to $8000s and consolidated back to $9000s. This is exactly what you would expect from the phase we are currently in: post-crash but still well before the bull run means gradual growth back up to the highs of the last boom over a non-short amount of time. We should expect the price in May to range between 9000s or maybe as low as 8000s on the low end and 11,000s and maybe as high as 12,000s on the high end. We got a big $3000 start after coming off the bottom of the crash this month. I think from here we can expect in general $1000 - $3000 gains per month for the mid-term, obviously with plenty of ups and downs.

So every Sunday has the massive dips like this? how do you prove this assumption that it will drop like that? any backing legit sources, links or any technical analysis and legit incoming negative news about this drop? we are going to break the resistance stronghold of 10k this week and the tax season for the US is already over, ow it is already Monday moreover the price was still lurking around 9300 USD.

How do you analyze the market in your opinion,I'm not believe the BTC will fall into 7K briefly and it has to be accurate evidence myself see the good value end of the day and probably will go recover to 10K dude. This is not the 1st of April that can make a joke. Grin

I highly doubt that it will fall that much. It's been stable for days now, I'm waiting for a price drop but it doesn't seem like happening. It will probably crash in a few days, since it has been in an upward trend for quite a while but it won't go anywhere close to $7.000.

Youre wrong you should be adding '1' in the front. Bitcoin price will slowly skyrocket this month of may  going 17,000 before the month ends. I know its impossible but i still  believe bitcoin will bounce

That post did not age well!
We're still around 9300.
And a drop of more than $2k in a few hours without a specific reason would have been pretty weird to be honest.
At least you could have given us an explanation why you think the price should have dropped that much.

It is stable. Whole last week. That is super nice. Why Bitcoin needs to go up or down. It can just stay around 9k for some time. At low or high volume.  Seems pretty normal to me.

Risking money only happens when you are trying to ride the short term market. People not being interested in these short term gains won't have anything to lose if they hodl through for at least a whole year.

The majority of the people focusing on short term gains end up losing, and why do you think that is? It's because the short term market is an unreliable factor that isn't much different from a roulette wheel.

One day it falls on X number and the other day Y number is the one. It's nothing more than a guessing game based on hope alone. Technical analysis may help to a certain extent, but it's also not something you can rely on.

Maybe you learn something from this, you can not predict the price based only on volume and on your own feelings. What's happening few weeks ago is ended, and by that I mean at weekend drops-price is now quite stable and drop to 7000 $ could happen only in case of some pretty bad news or some big dump from MtGox trustee manager.

BTC is always risky and unpredictable, and this time is nothing better nor worse//it all comes down to believing that something can succeed or not.
I agree. You should at least learn from your mistakes of predicting the price movement. One thing it makes it more worst is that you don't have any graphs to backup your claims that's why you look like you don't know what you are saying here. Maybe you have your reasons to think that the market will go down again. However, it seems that we are in the tail end of  this so called bearish market and we might not see a significant drop because its looks like investors interest on bitcoin was re-established when we bottom at $6500 last month and now they are going back at the ecosystem.

bitcoin will not come back again fill out the price at the $ 7k figure in this week, lo and behold! bitcoin price is making a new resistance above $ 9,500, if it happens in the near future, the price will soon move on up to the $ 10,000 number.
I never thought to you, that the price will return to $ 7000.
on what basis do you think like that, sir?
do you get the source info from where? lol

You have a wrong prediction, what makes you think that bitcoin will have another drop? I don't think that we will have another bitcoin price drop this Month. It is not dropping this Month, it is more likely to increase because I think, some bitcoin investors get back to invest their income here and not in some altcoins again because they see another good prediction this year that it will increase again.

So we didn't drop 26% in half a day, big surprise. Roll Eyes

I'll admit lower time frames have been looking a bit drippy, but the downside momentum is weak. And I'll note that alt charts are generally bullish vs. BTC, which is a good sign. It means people are looking for riskier assets rather than cash.

Even though the markets have been quite sluggish, without much movement upwards, we simply haven't seen anything that even came close to a drop of this size.

$9.5k to $7k in one day would be a 27% drop in less than one day. We haven't seen that even in the most bearish state of the dumps at the start of this year. Flash crashes like this are extremely rare, and there is definitely nothing to suggest that it's going to happen today.

Bitcoin could possibly correct down to $7k or even lower, after this rally is over. There are no guarantees, but it's going to be gradual if it does happen. No way it's happening in one day, since there is still a ton of support at both $8k and $9k levels. And the only reason I think this has a chance of happening, is because the market sentiment seems slightly bearish still, and we don't seem to be ready yet to get into a fully bullish market.

What made you think for that to happen? Do you see fuds, bad news, bad huge sell, etc? Maybe your still not convince with these slow pumping movements but for the fact that the ambiance of crypto world is so green then $7k is so impossible to came.

My prediction for bitcoin will surely go for 11,000 by next month.

I think it will drop because of trends and the trend is downwards I'd say but I might be wrong of course.
No one would believe you if you have no proof to show us. Saying that the trend is downwards is not a valid reason for one to predict a bearish trend. For instances what news do you think would drive bitcoin price down tonight? You need to back it up by news if you were to speculate via fundamental analysis(like what you have done) but it would be better if you can provide a technical analysis as well.

I can bet my entire life to prove your theory wrong as this is a pretty ridiculous theory without any proper evidence or any market analysis, just a few lines and you think that everyone would believe what you are saying. I also know that bitcoin is a little bit down today and can go more downward but I don't think that bitcoin would go down to $7k per coin. There would have to be something pretty big news against bitcoin like any ban in a country that has major bitcoin users like Russia or maybe Japan, but that ain't going to happen.
