People talk a lot about panic selling and I grant them that it always happen. When you reach a symbolic price like 1100$ you get tons of people who suddenly want to take their share and get at least a foot on the ground and out of the boat.
But panic buying is a thing too! Seeing the price falling like hell some people will just want to take part in all that fearing to miss the upper correction!
So let's wait and see what happens when people calm down. The price can go back to 1000$ as well as falling back to 500$ right now.

I was also convinced that that the resistance at $800 was going to rule and even I was expecting a slight correction towards $720, and that is why I made the mistake of selling a good part of my coins at $800.

Now I have to wait for the market does not go up so much to be able to buy more coins at a good price. Sad

I think that it is only normal for bitcoin to go to the current value. It had been very undervalued recently.

You could have made $650+ per coin if you bought in mid 2015 where the price per coin was only $200 plus minus. That is amazing, more than 200% profit in less than 2 years, doing nothing!

At this point (and indeed always) it is difficult to predict what will happen next, but once that strong resistance is broken we could expect a powerful rally towards the next resistance, which in my opinion will be around $1000. It is a matter of waiting and seeing.

Still sub $1000? Looks like you are expecting too much from the price to happen in such a short period of time. Give the market some time to settle at current prices first.

People are extremely happy with what we have achieved so far. The last thing we want to see is a quick peak to $1000 where after reaching it we will experience a massive red candle.

I hope we'll not see $1000 this year as it is simply too fast. I prefer the price to go up slowly in which we can expect more sustainability. That's what I consider to be the most important aspect.

We already break the $850 price. Now we are moving forward to $900 a piece. Its very nice to see the price. Every hour im checking the price and its very exciting to see because the price is really increasing rapidly. But i dont think we will reach the $1000 a piece before the year ends. I dont assume too much because the last i assume, the price is drop to $500.

on my opinion this is a great news for everybody who trust bitcoin for their money. we don't really need to pursue to reach $1000 this is already enough if it reach $1000 well that will be the bonus. being came from $500 to $820 is so impossible if we think but it happen so i think there's no impossible for bitcoin as long as the users keep storing their money on this crypto currency.

I never take things for granted in life. Especially not when it comes to something so unpredictable as the Bitcoin market. You can't just assume that because we have seen the price increase in a certain month last year, that it surely will happen this year as well. Those that did expect the price to increase to current levels have done a good job as they are in the profits right now.

I remember those people here stating that $750 (or near that) is so much high price to consider so they decided not to buy at that rate and wait for some dip. But now because of the road to $800 became success, I think they will realized more that bitcoin price movement can't really be predicted accurately. It's a matter of facing the possible risk while people have an active trades.

Who knows that this $800 price will be the new bottom some months later. Let's keep a close watch to this to avoid being late.

Price seems to got a small correction now from the $830 level back to $820. I don't expect price to go below $800 even if it undergo another correction. Growth seem really stable this time rather than huge pump/dump.

The price of bitcoin is 821 but i think it will not stay for too long.. and i think it can be decrease soon.
Well before its happen i will sell my own bitcoins sooner just watch the price if i sell my bitcoin it can affect or not.
And i think many people and traders are still waiting if it will stay in 1 day well we are in new resistance.. but i am not expecting this january that the price will stay at this price.

I admit I didn't believe that bitcoin hit the point of 800$ by Christmas, I have said it may hit this number only in orthodox Christmas. But the target completed even earlier. Now the next target is 900$! Any suggestions of when it may happen?

Personally I did not expect that BTC can reach 800$ this year based on last two year when things at this time usually calm down,but this year looks completely different.Currently we are very close to 830$ on the western exchanges and China is on 842$,so there is no some big differences at this time.

The question is how much will prices go high before we see drop and can we hold above 800$.In any case it's nice to see this price after a long time,nice gift for holidays.It seems that Santa Claus also loves BTC

i already treat my friends because bitcoin has been successful this year. just like last year bitcoin always raising up when Christmas day is coming and ihope this will be the reason of getting on $1000 barrier per bitcoin. I've been a long user of bitcoin and now I'm currently celebrating with my office mate because I already sold a lot of bitcoin with a great return remember todays bitcoin price is amazingly high.

Breaking through the $800 barrier is just a first step to what has to come. Next step will be maintaining the price above $800 as I believe it will be a very difficult task.

What you are seeing currently is the result of people panic buying. I want to see what happens tomorrow after people calm down and come back to earth.

Don't forget that we can't just continue to go up without seeing major players taking profits at current levels. Don't be surprised when we'll be falling slightly below $800 again.
