Okay, I have this problem that's been baffling me for couple weeks now.
Let me start with my system components:
Biostar BTC Pro
G3900
4GB Corsair
120gb SSD Sandisk
2x 850w Thermaltake Toughpower Gold 80+
8x MSI Gaming X Rx580 4gb Elpida
Claymore v10
aug23 blockchain drivers
Win10 Pro 64bit
Now that's out of the way, lets start. Initially, i put them in pairs then tweaked the cards to see maximum potential hash rate. I'm using a custom strap and I was able to push the cards to 1140/2025/875 with <10 memory errors running in about 12+ hours. So that's all good and shiny right? Yes, that's what I hoped too.
This happened with 3 other batches of twin pairs (2 per session) so in the end, I was able to tweak all 8 cards. 7 of them can do 30.1 up to 30.4 and only one managed a maximum of 29.9 doesn't matter what I do. This card has the lowest asic quality of all (71%). The 7 other cards have >76% asic quality.
Onto the interesting part - when I connected all 8 GPUs to the BTC Pro board
they won't hash above 29.5 . I am very frustrated by what happened as I spent many nights tweaking each and every card to its max potential only to be faced with the reality of they won't even give me a solid 30 - not one of them!
Does anyone have similar problems like mine? Any help would be appreciated!
I'm starting to think that this is a Windows limitation, as i've yet to see someone who has 8 cards hashing >30Mh per card. Or it could be hardware limitation as well? Should I put in more RAM?
Thanks in advance.
