It's been months since I looked at Skein, I might be misremembering the numbers or have not had an optimal miner - but I still SERIOUSLY DOUBT that the 1080ti is TWICE as fast as the 1070, the numbers just don't add up on the raw specs to support that claim, and I'm 100% CERTAIN that my Aorus did not manage 1000 on Skein or even CLOSE.
All my 1080ti's do 1000 easy.

Yeah. I forget maybe one build is better but I do 985-1025 with gentle over clocks.

Anything over 450 on Equihash depends on overclocks that many or most 1070 cards can't do reliably IF AT ALL.

I've never seen a 1070 that could reliable overclock 600 Mhz (out of 19 such I currently own of 7 different models), yet a lot of folks claim that's COMMON.

For that matter, the HIGHEST reliable 1070 memory overclock on any card I DO own is 450, and most of them get unreliable past about 400.

1080 ti isn't "80-90%" faster than a 1070 on Skein, more like 70% - and pretty close to the same on equihash.

I was seeing a bit over 700 on my 1080 ti on skein during some testing vs a little over 400 on any 1070 I tried (I've got a BUNCH of different 1070 models, the only 1080 ti I did testing on was an Aorus).
Equihash I'm seeing 780 RIGHT NOW on the 1080 ti, highest I've seen on any of my 1070 cards was PERHAPS 450 and I worked at optimising the various 1070s a LOT more.

To be specific, he states "EVGA 1600 G2 on 5 cards and the motherboard, EVGA G3 1000 on the other cards" with some commentary on how small the G3 is (though it's no smaller than the Seasonic Focus line in the same power capacity it's more that the G2 line were kinda large for their capacity).

1080 ti does more than 1000 on skein. You have a bad miner.
1070 does roughly 500.

Also highest of my all 1070 cards can do 485 on equihash. 450 is quite the standard.

Very nice setup indeed

It's not very obvious, you have two PSU for one rig?

Suggestion... to remove the blankets under the PSU's

@ 0:57 in the vid he says that he's using the EVGA 1600 for the mobo & 5 cards, and the EVGA 1000 for the other cards

what psu you are using to run so many beast like that? a 2k psu or double psu?

See above Smiley

That's a decent rig you got there mate, if you don't mind me asking why not go for DGB Coin ? Skein alg seems like more profit right now if i am not wrong.
Good luck

yeah minign zcash make no sense because the 1080ti is only 50% faster than a 1070 but on skein it's 80-90% faster

What is the hashrate of DGB for 1080ti?

it depend on the algo, for myriad groestl is 100 i think but for skein is 1gh, also depend on the oc or settings you want to have, and you also need the alexis miner ccminer 2.0 is not fast

We just put this one together today - getting some pretty decent hash, roughly 5850 on ZEC.  We haven't pushed it too hard yet but will probably be able to pull 6K hash pretty easily.  Surprisingly easy build w/ z270a and a M.2 PCIE adapter.

Wow, so you're actually getting full access to 8 GPU's under Windows??  Do you have links to the M.2 & PCI adapters you're using?  That's incredible!

Edit: Are those the MintCell 006's?  I had concerns about reliability based on the reviews...
