Looks good. How about these ichilies are they good, i mean no throtle on memory?

At the moment they are fine, but the area where i run this is quite cold about 10c.
One card keep crashing after while or at the boot , seems bad quality or riser problem.

Have you managed to figure out what was the problem with this card? Could you repair it?

Aren't you overdoing it a bit on PSU side?  I guess you run 2x3090 off 1000W PSUs and 2x3090+3070 off a 1200W, am I correct?

Not currently i have 2x 3090 running on each psu , about 600w from psu . But its right on the boarder , wouldnt run any power hungry algos on this setup.
ill upgrade the psus to 1800 have some when will get rest of the 3090 to make it 12x on the rig.

You can overclock the GPU memory higher on Linux than on Windows. Linux is more efficient than Windows at how it handles VRAM. Windows 10 automatically reserves an enormous amount of VRAM of ~30% on each GPU in the system, whether it's use or not.  This causes less GPU VRAM to be available for mining memory intensive algorithms such as and Ethash and Cuckatoo31. The general recommendation is to double the Windows overclock value on Linux, but I would say that is the upper limit and it depends on the card. For most cards the performance is generally the same on both Linux and Windows and some cards can do slightly better on Linux. With algo's like Cuckatoo31 you're not able to mine it at all with Windows 10 on GPU's with 8GB or less VRAM, which you can Linux or Windows 7 which doesn't reserve as much VRAM.

Thanks!

This may be newbie observation as i never researched about linux or any other miners than  standalone (windows) but it seems that values ali double than in windows?

This is what i have on one of my rigs at different location:

Depending on card, PL is set from 44-55

Would you recommend anything different?

You should be able to get over 120 Mh/s with those 3090 cards. This is what I am getting with two 3090 cards:

Card: EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra
Power: 73 %
Core Clock: -400 MHz
Memory Clock: +1100 Mhz
Fan Speed: 80%-100%

Power Usage: 306 Watts
Hash Rate: 120.98 Mh/s
Temperature: 50-56 C (depends on temperature outside. Warmer days the temps will go up)
Operating System: Wndows 10
Driver: 465.89 Gamer Driver
Mining Software: Phoenix 5.4c

I run 4 rigs with EVGA 1600 G+, each rig has 10x3070 (120-130w per card)

So you run four 1600 watt psu's at about 1450 watts.

I owned a tone of evga psu's

the 1300 g

the 1600 g
the 1600 p
the 1600 t

the 1000 g
the 1000 p
the 1000 t

If you want to run your psu's at those levels you can do it.

if op wants to run his at 65% vs you running yours at 91% he can do it.

If I had the cards you have i would make it into 5 rigs of 8 cards and use 5 1600 watt psu's

so my psu's would be doing about 1100 watts vs the 1450 watts yours do.

Are you right I have no idea
am I right I have no idea
is the op right I have no idea.

the only way to know for each of the three of us is to check back in a few years and see the up time on the gear.

I no longer bother with big rigs.
I try for 3,4,5 card rigs in 6 or 8 slot boards with no risers. Is that better? I don't know but I never deal with a riser and I like that. I do not push my psu's and they last years.

I do not push my cards and they last. Every 1080ti hybrid I ever owned contunues to work past 3 year warranty about 28 of them.

Was it smart to run them more gently can't tell as I did not run 28 hard and see which made more money.

Of the 63 cards I have now 2 amd went rma but both on a 2 card gaming mining rig I suspect a power surge killed the rig.

The other 61 cards all work/  The oldest current card I have was an april 2020 buy.

I like what the op did.
I like the way I run my gear.

I used to press my psu's
I used to press my gpu's
I don't do that any more.

Does not mean it is better  to cruise at 65% vs 95% but it is how I like to mine. With my cpu's and my psu's

btw you space them very well.

The op is pushing more power than I do.

he was set to 310 each 3090

so 310+310= 620 tack on 30-50 more he is at 670 that is a decent number for an evga 1000 watt.

they do not  like more than 70 %

I would wonder why not use  1 ATX psu  and 3x server psu's like these.

they are smaller in size and have more cables

they are cheaper than atx psus.

they may be hard to find for op.

I know 3090 average consumption on ETH is 280-295w, so I was a bit surprised seeing this PSU setup (but it's quite reasonable if you switch to RVN, for example, and keep your PSUs happy with 75-80% load).  By the way, I see no reason at all using server PSUs less than 2400-3000W when they start making sense.

Yeah I think I got them early enough that they will be profitable.

Nice rig

I have a 2 card 3090

I use a seasonic focus 1000 watt gold
I have been able to get better watt to hash numbers then your rig.
And the rig pulls 620 total watts at a kwatt meter. So psu has it easier.

Still it is nice to see a beast like your rig.

I paid about 1900 each for my evga 3090's

Well 1969 for one and 2039 for the other

One in late Jan
One in early Feb

they make about 22 usd and burn about $1.50 let me round to 20 usd profit each day for the 2.
so far about 1300 earned back on the 2.

I believe prices under 2000 seems decent still, ROI about 8 month. Which is great to have such premium card.

Sell all the hardware with profit and buy ETH is way faster than this rig will ever mine.

Wouldn't suggest this kind of built as it is currently to expensive. was lucky enough to get these GPUs back in December for 1400e each. At that time it seemed very expensive but looking now at the profitability only 6 month payback seems great purchase Smiley But the same hardware at current prices is just to risky.

Parts used in this mining rig built :

8x Ichill 3090

1x 3070

Asrock H110 motherboard

3x 1000 EVGA G3 power supplies

1x 1200w Leadex power supply

8gb ram

Celeron G 3900 CPU

120gb SSD

009 s risers
