Still it will fall to crowdfunding series.

ICO - STO - IEO - DEFI

So what's next? These are just hype to scam investors or new comers for it seems ICO project does not working anymore. Now, they are trying again as much as  possible to get money from the crowd. Actually, it is good to create a project funded by the crowd if organizers have credible experience to run the project and knows his expertise that will be applied of the said project.

However, it is not that easy to find credible person nowadays where money is involved. Money is too hot to handle so I rather not trust anyone to it.

TON is alive? Under the guise of a crypto project with a recognizable brand, a scam is being promoted. Shocked
`

Ok f*ck at first looking at that new TON project I've really thought that they tried to be back but using the DeFi system lol. Damn, there are already a lot of scam DeFi projects and some resurrects those failed projects that uses ERC20 back then, soon people might be doubtful trusting DeFi projects as well after this series of scam attempts and events.

Good catch lol. This really helped me hehe. (what a fool)

I didn't understand 90% of what was written here (just because I'm not familiar with what TON was), but from what I gather this is a scheme that isn't really DeFi posing as something that is DeFi, right?  And the end result is that this is yet another scam disguised as a DeFi project, which I'm not surprised at and am expecting to see a lot more of, frankly.

True, this scam not only does not matter to the defi, but also to the tone. All fake to deceive the people. They are impostors.

Yes, they are all impostors using hype around TON. Just now this scam is reaching a new level, which uses hype around DeFi. The founder of TON Durov, after losing the case in court about the ban, wrote that he was terminating his project, and indicated that all newly created projects aimed at restarting the project would be fraud.

DeFi hyip has unfolded in full in the crypto space, which means wait for scammers' surprises. But here is a similar surprise to all surprises. The Chinese have resurrected Durov's project, TON, and even under the guise of DeFi. Grin

400 million Telegram users will come to this Defi TON. I only wonder how they will come without Telegram support?
Lol, no idea.  This "project" likely isn't going to attract even 0.01% of that number.

The more I read about DeFi, the more I question its real usefulness.  Apparently it's making a lot of folks rich, but it's basically at its core lending crypto P2P, right?  My gut feeling is that (like all those ICO projects) DeFi isn't really providing something people really need.  This isn't a thread to debate DeFi, but am I wrong on all of that?

Good catch and research on this one, OP.
