I run the same board. Yes you need the presence mod, but in my experience I needed them on the x16 slots as well, when using 1x-16x risers.

Yes, it's very simple, short the pins A1 and B17 with a piece of very thin wire so that it can get in, you can reuse it from some piece of old computer-related equipment or electronics.



If it doesn't work after that post more info (driver versions, OS, BIOS ver, etc.)


So basically i need to short short pin every x1 slot, right ?

By the way, BIOS at 19.9, ubuntu 12.04 and Catalyst 13.3

Does anyone knows if there is any special trick, like shortpin / etc.., to make the 990FXA-GD65 work with 6 cards?

It only shows 2 of the 6 cards ... All of them are plugged using powered risers.

ideas?  Huh
