Wow, cheaper than I would have guessed...

Because you have no clue about collectibles or pricing.

Kinda harsh. Thanks for your input

Well for someone who markets themself as an expert at conferences, gives a lot of misinformation, and intentionally steers people to your website with never a mention of this forum so you can broker deals to benefit you and yours ..not a lot love for ya here bud.

Never said anything about brokering a deal...bud. Also don't know what marketing you are seeing that says we're experts at conferences and not sure what misinformation you are talking about. Everything we have ever posted or published has been cited by credible sources and if the opinion is our own, we've been pretty clear about that.

Literally nothing you just said makes any sense nor is corroborated anywhere.

I’m just one of many who feel the same way. I was annoyed when I saw this  https://youtu.be/pK5TRO7sePw , which reinforces my statements. I was super annoyed and Honestly confused with your out of the blue snide remarks on my Instagram account physicalcryptocurrency posts, trying to discredit me as if I don’t know what I was talking about “ just because it’s rare doesn’t mean it’s valuable” was one such remark on a post I didn’t even state anything about value.

You guys are hardly even collectors, let alone experts. Everything you guys do is half ass and clearly driven by monetary greed. I was going to help with the Encyclopedia until I started to look in on Elias and quickly saw that all I’d be doing is helping a fraud. It’s a shame to because a real collector would make that thing a 1000x better.

I mean everyone can see your past posts..you’re clueless and an asshat.

1. We love Bitcoin and crypto and we thought the coins were neat so we presented on them. At the time, not many people knew about them, Elias' book was seen by many as the one source of truth, and we had an opportunity to present (unpaid). It was fun, it was meant to be informative, but we never claimed to be experts.

2. Can't recall the snide remarks - we literally spend an average of 1 min a week on IG. However, I just checked your account and honestly LOVE your posts. Not being sarcastic - you have some awesome stuff, and it's impressive.

However, the comment that you mention is actually quite true, so I'm not sure why you would get offended by it.  Definitely not looking to discredit anyone, but rarity truly doesn't mean value. Rarity with demand means value. Have to have that demand...big difference. And not all coins (digital or physical) have that demand.

3. Not sure what you mean about Elias being a fraud (that's a pretty serious word) or making things 1000x better, but we don't have much of a connection with him. We spoke to him a couple of times, he gave us a couple copies of his book to give away at the conference, and we haven't talked to him since. We are aware that the knowledge of this collectible industry has evolved since, and we have not kept up with it as much as some others - like you. So your perspective is valued.

4. We are two friends who share a passion for crypto, and we try to stay grounded and logical - recognizing a lot of hype goes into this stuff. It may appear that we half-ass it because, well, we do. Most of the time it's only one of us doing anything with the site/content (just trying to keep it light here  Wink).

5. We aren't clueless. Our purpose is to simply provide introductory information to get people started with crypto. We've never claimed to be experts, never claim to know technical analysis or the coding behind bitcoin like AA, and we ALWAYS encourage (if not demand) people to do their own research and only use our opinion as one data point before making any decision with crypto. We've always said to anyone who asks, from a scale of 1-10 with 1 being "I've heard of crypto and Bitcoin" and 10 being AA or Trace or Satoshi himself, we would fall in the 3-4 range when it comes to the information we offer.

Anyway...this string kind of went off on a tangent. I was merely curious how much those 1:1300 silver Casascius coins were going for nowadays because in the past they were demanding 2.5-4x and the question came up in a recent conversation, so we thought we would take it to the crowd.

Not sure why a question like that is unacceptable - even experts would like to know (Although I can't say for sure because we aren't experts...)

Anyway, hope this clears it up. Again, sorry for annoying you. We really do appreciate your stuff.

So you think it’s better off sold on eBay?

If you can find a way to sell it on there without getting raped then you're likely to get more money on there than here, that's if the reported sales actually took place as some prices seem so mad I can hardly believe them.

On UK Ebay you're not allowed to auction or buy it now them, it can only be a classified ad which means Paypal isn't mandated. I wouldn't risk any transaction with Paypal in the mix.

Yeah I lost a bitcoin in 2013 because I sold it through ebay and PayPal charged me back. Despite the proof that I sent the coin to the buyer. It was only worth $150 back then...

Needless to say i agree with you about the ebay risk. Lame.

That's a pretty good premium, IMO. This isn't ebay after all.

So you think it’s better off sold on eBay?

No not saying that exactly, but you know... you see cas coins at ridiculous prices out there, but as a seller you have fees, & run the risk of chargebacks etc.... Never sold one there personally, but I'd rather sell one here.
Sweet coin btw. Smiley

What would a coin like this go for?

It depends a lot on condition, do you have a photo of both sides?  You can black out the public key if you want.

Never mind, just noticed the grade.  1.4 - 1.6 btc
